Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Southampton

Edo Asia is a beautifully decorated restaurant. The ambience and environment were truly the stars of the show. The staff were polite, kind-looking, and welcoming, but not always the most prompt. This is at no fault of their own, it was incredibly busy when we went, but I wish they'd have been a more efficient way to beckon a waiter over. I think the biggest critique I'd have of the restaurant is the noise level and music type. The music was SO loud, I could barely hear my Dad from across the table, and twice we called over a waiter who couldn't hear us over the loud music. Sadly, I had a massive headache and had to leave within an hour. Also, the type of music was as if we were in a club, not what I was expecting from an Asian restaurant, and a stark contrast to the beautiful ambience. I'm sure others would find it pleasurable; it revolves around personal preference. However, despite the restaurant's shortcomings, the food was truly top-quality stuff, expensive, but tasty. I just wish I could've ordered more without breaking the bank. Additionally, they are happy to box your food, which, for me, who felt sick, was a big plus, and even sang happy birthday to me and provided a complimentary cheesecake. I wish I could go again when I feel better to re-evaluate the restaurant as a whole.

Very attractive modern interior with very capable and friendly staff. The meal was of excellent quality and sensibly priced. Good wine list and the Pinot Grigio that I ordered was superb. Overall the restaurant and the hotel were very good and will again use when in Southampton.

So happy with our stay at the holiday inn. The staff was lovely the environment was brill and the stay was just perfect for our visit to peppa world. We used the pool and that was great too. Overall a fantastic stay and great value for money.

As a coeliac it is fantastic to have a restaurant with such a wide variety of gluten free dishes. We had starters, duck as a second course and 3 mains with fried and boiled rice and everything was perfectly cooked, although a couple of the dishes good have done with being a little hotter, but taste wise fantastic.
