Campisi's Downtown is owned and operated by David Campisi and his family. The restaurant has a long and storied history, beginning in 1946 when David's great-grandfather bought a bar with a small kitchen and began making pizzas - the first ever in Dallas. The food was delicious, especially the spicy rigatoni pasta and the dessert with gelato both were excellent. However, the service was a bit lacking as the waitress didn’t seem as attentive as we would have liked. Overall, it was a good experience.
