Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Uptown

I dine here often (probably too often haha), and I have to applaud the gauchos for particularly delicious beef yesterday. Sometimes it’s a hit or miss with the seasoning and texture, but every beef item we tried was exceptional yesterday. Thank you! And of course Lori the manager, the sweet, friendly young lady at the reception desk, and our server Monica were on point and the best as always. Why are they the best? They are attentive, very welcoming, and make us feel at home to enjoy our meal. Things seem to be going well and running smoothly whenever Lori is working. We’ve dined at the Fort Worth and the Addison locations (because we were in the area) and there is no comparison. We try to avoid the other locations because their service is incredibly subpar compared to this location.

The food and restaurant and experience itself was as great as always. Our server however, was very disappointing. We had to ask for somebody to get her multiple times she never brought us water. There were food items that we ordered that she never put in overall it was kind of a downer. We had to get to assure so did not have time to even talk to management when we had to finally cancel the last items because we wouldn’t have time to get there. I will definitely be back though, but I will not sit in her section.

The Standard Pour is a great place to come for just a casual drink or a simple dinning experience. The noise level can make it hard to hear sometimes but it’s pathetic and quick service are amazing. It is reasonably priced.

Model of consistency. I love Mi Cocina. This is probably my favorite location, too. It’s loud as hell sometimes, but the chip and dip game is strong. Sunset enchiladas never fail, and who ever had a frown on their face after a couple mambo taxis?
