Sokrates Greek Taverna on Winter Hey Lane in Horwich is a relaxed, friendly restaurant serving dishes from Greece, Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean. Enjoyed steak frites and crème brûlée from lunchtime menu. Portions were just right for lunch and the steak perfectly cooked. The restaurant was not too busy so we were allowed to linger. An enjoyable repeat visit and will come again even though it’s a 45 min journey from home.

Was a proper greek meal not rushed at all , could have done with fan on as when full was a bit warm , greek music could have been a little louder as was very faint to the ear , overall very good food and service .

It was our first time here yesterday, we planned to returned because everything was impressive. It’s a shame to hear that that’s closing. I hope they find another location because everything was 10/10 from customer service to the food 👌🏾
