The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check.     The ambiance at Lurcat is very fun for a special occasion with huge windows overlooking Loring Park and the sculpture garden. The building is old (in a good way) and full of character. The service was excellent. Our server was there often enough and paced things well to allow for a relaxing evening. The cocktail list was creative and appealing. The food was excellent. Parking can be tough, but we found street parking and valet parking is available. Recommended for special occasions!

    Lovely anniversary dinner st PS Steak…the service was extraordinary, the food was outstanding. The Denver steak was so flavorful and done perfectly. And the sides were also wonderful. The chopped salad (greens, smoked salmon, dill havarti, and a deviled egg) was so unusual and absolutely delicious. We love the ambiance of the dining room and our table was in an area that was quiet. All in all, we love PS Steak.

    If I could give this place 1000 out of 100 then I would. Service was great! Thank you Tyler! Food was AMAZING! Drinks were the best! Appetizers were sooo good. That DOWN HOME SHRIMP?? We ordered a second one. The crab cake: DELICIOUS! We had the Delmonico Bone in Ribeye! The sides were amazing too: lobster Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, cream corn even the bread was delicious. Dessert: crème brûlée DELICIOUS! I want to come back from Dallas just to eat here. You can’t go wrong here! #dontmissthebus
