Best Family Style Restaurants in Northeast Minneapolis

Went to dinner at Butcher and The Boar for a joint 40th BDay for my wife and friend. The birthday girls were immediately greeted with cards at the front desk when we arrived. The place has great food, drinks and ambience. While the menu is heavily focused on meat, the Brussels Sprouts were so good they may have been the best dish we had. The new space is great and the Char Bar speakeasy is well worth the trip alone. It has a very chill atmosphere and excellent cocktails.

First time visiting, and Starling did not disappoint! Everything was amazing. From the chicken wings (5 spice and fish sauce caramel), the hummus, all 3 tacos (chicken, steak and pork) and the chicken yakisoba! No complaints. The chicken yakisoba was spicier than expected, so either you'll appreciate that or you won't. I did. Others did not. The chicken tacos were the best. None were bad. But the pork weren't anything unique. Only complaint I could come up with is the parking lot. It's tiny AND the spots are even small. Will go back though.

Our drinks and food were delicious and interesting. Alex, our server, made very good recommendations, was knowledgeable and very attentive. The carrot cake was the best I’ve ever eaten.

Wonderful ambience. Excellent wait staff. The portions for three easily feed 5-6.

Just when you think you’ve experienced Curry Diva’s delicious, Sri Lankan food, she comes up with more extraordinary, unique dishes! So enjoyed bringing in friends from near and far to experience the magic that is Curry Diva!
