It was lovely to see the Riverside so busy on a Tuesday evening when many other places are closed. The service was excellent, and the ambiance relaxed and informal. Both the trout and terrine were a delight as starters and we both had the chicken with shallots which was delicious. The crispy kale added a lovely salty bite to the dish. The elderflower fritter was an inspired dessert. Altogether a memorable way of celebrating an anniversary particularly as we were given a chocolate delice with marinated strawberries in honour of the occasion. Highly recommended.

Outstanding birthday dinner with my husband! Ribs and pate appetizers were first rate, and our steaks were excellent. Nice wine accompaniment. Enjoyed the modern ambience in an old building. Comfortable seating. So glad we went!

Well, the Church does it once again: extremely gracious service, a quiet outdoor table in the Beer Garden, excellent wine choices including a pale French Rose (perfect for this hot summer day) and 'way better than average food. A chicken Kiev! Excellent tomato caprese salad. There's a reason they end up on Open Table's top ten restaurants in Shropshire. Makes me really glad to live in Ludlow.
