The dining experience was delightful- delicious food and excellent service. I do strongly object to leaving a credit card when making a reservation in case of cancellation- I almost did not make the reservation for that reason. And truthfully it is not like it was a busy weekend- there were only 2 other occupied tables during our entire time there. I would not do that again. I’ll either take my chances or go somewhere else - there are too many good restaurants in the area to choose that do not require that.

It’s always a great experience, or server was good, he did miss a few drinks. He was polite and kind. Not very attentive towards the end when dropping off our check, did not check our waters, I had to ask a person in my party if they were drinking their water, thankfully she wasn’t.

We moved to Clarence Center almost a year ago and live just around the corner from Gertie’s. We’ve given it a try a few times in the past, but honestly, we were never too impressed—until now. Last night, we decided to give it one more shot after hearing about the new chef. We’re so glad we did. The food was absolutely exceptional—such a noticeable improvement from our previous visits. My husband had the pork chop, and I ordered the sea bass. Oh my goodness… both were incredible. We left genuinely excited, and we’ll definitely be back. Gertie’s is officially on our regular rotation now!

Our waitress Christina was outstanding. The wings and homemade chips were delicious and the red ale was very tasty.
