The restaurant was not that busy, so we were seated with no problem. My wife had a Cosmo, which was the appropriate size, and she said it was excellently prepared according to her request. I had a Martini, which was quite good, but I feel, quite skimpy. There was significant room left in the glass for more. This was the only real negative we had. However, the skimpy Martini was offset by the huge glasses of Malbec we each ordered. It was the biggest glass of red wine in a restaurant I can recall. We each left half a glass, which broke our hearts because it was a tasty Malbec. Moving on to the food. We had a garlic pizza as an appetizer. It came loaded with garlic and piping hot. Both of us enjoyed it. I had grilled Ahi Tuna on a bed of shredded squash. It was perfectly prepared, seasoned, and tasted wonderful. My wife had Penne Salmon in a vodka sauce. Once again, it was very hot, perfectly prepared, and delicious. For dessert, my wife had coconut cream pie; It was a large portion and the best rendition of this dish my wife has ever had. I had the Banana bread with candied walnuts and a great sweet sauce. Service was timely and very polite. The ambiance was enjoyable, blending a classic old restaurant with a contemporary menu.
