The Hoffman House restaurant, in the scenic Hudson Valley, opened for business in June of 1977. The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. An open-air, beautifully landscaped garden patio, enhances outdoor dining in the summer, while you can cozy up next to one of our three large stone fireplaces in the winter.

    This is always home base for us. The folks here are so kind and polite, and the food is pure comfort. No frills, no pretenciousness. Just good soul food with easy dining. We basically order one of everything on the menu and split it, but this summer season we've been extra pleased with the 'shroom pancit. We get it just as is, no meat. It's delicious. We also bring our 1 and 1/2 year old and the staff is always warm and welcoming to him and other children. If you're looking for authentic Filipino food with an accepting, open and loving vibe, this is it.

    I had the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked. They let me substitute potatoes for more salad and my dinner was perfect. Beautiful old stone house, with fire places in every room. Because weather was good we ate on the patio. A lovely evening.
