El The Oar es un restaurante informal situado frente al agua, en el muelle del río Patchogue, y sirve marisco y filetes deliciosos y frescos.  Los chefs preparan especialidades como camarones con coco, chuletas de 2 lomos de 36 oz. de gran calidad y quesadillas de langosta, así como almejas pequeñas y ostras Blue Point frescas del día.  Hay 2 salones comedor decorados en estilo náutico tradicional.  La pared frontal consta de puertas francesas que se abren al agua, lo que permite acceder a una zona al aire libre junto al muelle en los meses cálidos y disfrutar de vistas pintorescas al puerto deportivo durante todo el año.  El salón comedor trasero es elegante y cuenta con un panel de caoba elevado, manteles blancos y papel en las paredes con rayas marineras azules y blancas.  Además, se ofrece la posibilidad de celebrar ocasiones especiales en la sala de banquetes independiente.  El restaurante dispone de barras en el interior y al aire libre para disfrutar de noches magníficas en este establecimiento animado y divertido.

    This was our first time at Wayward. We went for our anniversary. We were greeted by a lovely young lady at the front stand and our waiter Anthony was so sweet and helpful! We had the mac and cheese and oyster appetizers, both were amazing. I had the Connecticut lobster roll which was the best one I have had all summer. I added sweet potato fries which were cooked perfectly. My husband got the 12oz sirloin and it was cooked to perfection for him. He loved it. I ate his burnt broccoli, delish! It was a little noisy but that is to be expected on a Friday night. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back! The menu has so many different choices give it a look I am sure you will find something to your liking. The desserts were so good as well We had cheesecake and key lime pie! Thank you to the staff at Wayward for a wonderful experience. Oh I also had a fantastic espresso martini!
