We recently celebrated our anniversary at Maison Boulud at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Montreal, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—Julian, our waiter, and Valentine, the guest manager, went above and beyond to make our evening special. The ambiance and decor are refined yet warm, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening. Drinks, wine, and desserts were all exceptional. While the entrés and main course were good, though not quite extraordinary, the overall experience marked by impeccable service and attention to detail more than made up for it. Overall, beautiful dining for a special occasion. We will definitely be coming back! As well, a heartfelt thank you to Ricardo in the Hotel lobby for the warm send off and the fascinating history lesson—his pride in this iconic hotel made our visit even more special.

As always great food & service , consistency all the time

We haven’t been to Rib n’ Reef for a long time and I must say we enjoyed it immensely. Everything was perfect from the moment we sat down at our very cozy booth. The dirty Martini was plentiful, not like the small martinis you get at other restaurants. The pickle, cole slaw and bread, fresh and yummy. The service was beyond excellent, and the menu choice’s were great, especially the table service Caesar salad. The steak was cooked to perfect with peppercorn sauce and masked potatoes just like we like them, where you can actually taste the potato! Definitely won’t wait so long to get back to Rib n’ Reef.

Our server’s expertise and warmth, paired with a stellar organic wine list, made the evening unforgettable. The Southern Italian fare shines—pillowy focaccia with top-tier olive oil started us off, followed by flawless handmade cavatelli and a juicy pork chop with braised cabbage. Every dish, crafted with fresh local ingredients, was sublime. Nora Gray is a must-visit, and we can’t wait to return!
