- JJillVIPBaltimore / Maryland •105 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoReally impressed with the food experience here. My partner and I each enjoyed a salad, pasta entrée and alcoholic beverage. The warm foccacia served first was absolutely scrumptious. Service and ambience were fine.More infoAmore RobiolinaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Edgewater•4.7
- BBrianBaltimore / Maryland •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWe were a little early for the reservation, yet they were able to seat us promptly (always a good sign as their turnover was quick). Our waiter, Ben, was quick to approach and asked us relevant questions (first time here, would you like recommendations, etc.) He took our order and came back quickly with our drinks and bread basket. The orders were placed, appetizer and mains, and there was not a significant wait for the appetizer to come out (big slab of bacon doused in maple syrup), even though there did not appear to be many empty tables. The appetizer was really tasty (similar in nature to fatback in flavor and texture). Our mains, burger and sirloin steak (sadly we went on a Monday so the prime rib was not available (boo!) but that was my error as I did not see that on the online menu), were both prepared properly (medium-well) and the sides were an interesting mélange of seasonal vegetables (broccoli, squash, green beans, and carrots). They accommodated a request to exchange for butter whipped potatoes. Those were a little lackluster, russet potatoes may have some uses, but not as mashed or whipped. (I find that if you have to use russets, they benefit from paprika and a touch of garlic). The potatoes did not lessen our enjoyment, as the fries that came with the burger were well cooked (possibly in peanut oil, but I am not certain, they had that particular flavor). The ambience was very cozy, even though it was a medium-sized room, and there was a fireplace in the room, we were not seated next to it so I do not know what type of fire it was: gas or wood. The decor was well-kept and the silver wear on the table was neatly wrapped in a cloth napkin with a wire ring napkin holder (for those people that like those types of touches). The staff, greeters, seaters, waiters, and clearers all seemed friendly, and focused on their tasks, tables did not go unnoticed (waiters were constantly circulating, and the tables were cleared quickly when the patrons left).More infoThe Blackwall Barn and Lodge gambrillsPrice: Moderate• American• Gambrills•4.7

We received excellent service and our meals were prepared as requested.
