Great place to go with friends to share dishes. The large number of vegetarian items is one of the best around.

The new menu under the new chef was amazing! The smoked scallops were tender and flavorful and made a great accompaniment to the ravioli. The king salmon was cooked perfectly. The presentation of each dish took the experience to the next level. We have enjoyed Tavern on Kruse for many years and it continues to impress us with expertly prepared food focusing on what is local and in season. The small menu allows for flexibility during the changing seasons. The service is exceptional - Emily and Annie are outstanding and always have great suggestions.

The tasting menu was full of surprises, most of them enjoyable. Many unusual flavor combinations were unexpected wins. A few however missed in our opinion. But the parade of offerings made for a delightful celebration. The wine pairings were all exceptional and delicious. Service was excellent. Our table in the intimate purple room was pleasant, although a woman in the adjoining blue room laughed boisterously and continuously during the 3 hour dining experience which was an annoyance. Overall, a memorable birthday splurge.

Magna is one of our favorite spots in PDX, so naturally we had to treat family visiting. We ordered the whole menu, everything was so good, our service was awesome & we sat out on the patio for summer vibes. Love to the Magna team & Chef.
