McKiernan's is an excellent restaurant. Good food, nice ambience, friendly service, airy, bright dining room. Music a bit too loud, interferes with conversation; this is a frequent complaint I have on restaurants, where I go to eat and converse with friends, not to hear loud music I did not choose and do not like. And no elevator, so not accessible to wheelchair-bound and those who cannot manage stairs. Otherwise, it's a great place to which I will return.

Highlights were the mushrooms,halibut and the pasta dish which I forget the name of. Braised beef stuffed in a pasta. Halibut and pasta was outstanding.
