Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Glover Park

My brother, nephew, and I have dined at Ruthie’s multiple times and it has become our go-to because everything works well. I LOVED the rockfish special, my brother exclaims that you make the best brisket he’s ever tasted, while my nephew inhaled a chicken special. Ruthie’s keeps on giving!

From a well represented menu geared towards DC’s broad cultural landscape, to locally sourced everything…this place is fantastic. Our first time, and we’re so happy to have chosen Founding Fathers as our anniversary dinner spot. Next time we’re visiting DC, we will definitely be back for more!

Delicious steak, whipped potatoes and asparagus. It was an excellent meal along with Sancerre, excellent de-caf cappuccino, and, my favorite, pina colada sorbet. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Divino is a lovely and lively neighborhood Italian restaurant. My wife and I shared a salad and an entree. The kitchen brought out the salad already split on two plates which we appreciated. It was a wonderfully tasting salad. The main entree was brought out on an iron skillet. I assumed the server would have perceived that we did not have plates and it hardly seemed reasonable that we would be eating our entree from the same skillet. I had to flag him down to ask for two plates which was a little weird. Now, let me be clear - this server was not our main one but one who brought the entree out. The main server was good and attentive. With the minor service blemish it prevented my rating from being a 5 for service. However, the food and atmosphere was great and it is a place that we will come to as we settle down in Washington DC. Thank you Divino!!!
