So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. Since then we've won 2 awards from The Courier Post Readers Choice for one of the Best Sushi and Japanese Cuisine in South Jersey. Fast forward to 2013 we opened our Hibachi Grill section and ever since then it's been the go-to place for people that wants to have fun and watch an performance at the same time. Our menu has three sections one for sushi bar items, the second one for Japanese Cuisine and the third one for the Hibachi Grill. With over 30 years of experience in Japanese Cuisine with his specialty in sushi, Jimmy strives on perfecting the art of sushi making and is always makes sure that the ingredients used are all up to standards before cooking.
