The specials of the night immediately set the tone — an Artichoke Appetizer that was as visually stunning as it was flavorful, followed by a Main Course of Halibut that redefined perfection on a plate. Every dish was a testament to the kitchen’s dedication to both presentation and taste. Among the highlights was ABG’s famed Creamy Crab Bisque. A signature offering, it effortlessly lived up to its sterling reputation — rich, velvety. Of course, such culinary excellence does come with a price tag. As we were forewarned to "hold on to our wallets," it's true that this was a premium dining experience. Yet, for someone who "eats with their eyes" and appreciates the finer nuances of taste and texture, every penny felt justified. The service complemented the food beautifully. Each course was timed with precision, we never felt rushed nor dragged. The attentive staff ensured our table was kept immaculate throughout, a detail that often goes unnoticed but speaks volumes about the restaurant’s commitment to excellence. Yet, Chef Mike’s ABG chapter is nearing its end. With the restaurant set to close its doors in October to make way for luxury home developments, it is a bittersweet farewell. The thought of such a remarkable establishment succumbing to demolition is saddening. However, the culinary world is evolving, and I eagerly anticipate discovering where Chef Mike will next weave his magic. For those fortunate enough to dine here before the closing, it is a memory to treasure. And for Chef Mike, the horizon holds new possibilities, and we can only hope his next venture will be as extraordinary as this one.

Food was very good but the presentation left alot to be desired.

First time to restaurant. Food was excellent! We had fish and chips and the shrimp tacos. Both were outstanding. Flavor was superb! The service was above and beyond by waitresses. Definitely going back.

First time dining here, love the atmosphere, service really nice and friendly, relaxed but attentive. Food was very good, probably best calamari ever had in NJ. Decent selection of wines, also half bottles, priced really reasonably. Only downside the pasta: linguini were not in a butter sauce, but in a water broth, we eat the clams but left all the pasta, honestly extremely bad. But we were so satisfied by the overall experience that we didn’t want to make a complaint to our lovely waiter. Hope to visit again soon.

Very nice ambience and views of the ocean. The food was good and the service was good. Quite satisfied.
