The Black Horse in the village of Fulmer is nestled between Gerrards Cross and Pinewood Studios. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled. We had a lovely lunch here. The restaurant has very good decor and the service was friendly and helpful. The halloumi starter was tasty and the main meals were a good portion and flavourful. The Carnivore Pizza was a good size and just right. The other diners enjoyed salmon, chicken and pasta. There was a good choice of wine and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great restaurant. The food was great just enough for brunch and very tasty. Our waitress was brilliant. The only thing I will criticise is the noise level. There was a DJ who was playing some really good upbeat music but it was just way too loud. We wanted a girly chit chat/catch up and had to shout at each other! I ended up with a headache. Shane as everything else was so good. They just need to turn the volume down a bit!
