- VVickyVIPNew York City •32 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoFirst time at Don Coqui. Celebrating birthday of one guest. Party of 4. Early Monday dinner at 6:15. We were confirmed for our reservations and asked to wait to be seated. There were only a handful of diners in the vast restaurant. Hostess was on the phone the whole time. After 10 minutes I asked what the wait was about and she was irritated that I interrupted her phone call. We were finally seated. Server was efficient and had several observers with him. Our seafood orders were delicious, empanadas were great. Food was excellent except the Churros which seemed "hard and old" as one diner stated. The staff brought a nice birthday celebration during dessert. I would recommend this well designed art deco restaurant if you are not a large party or if you have patience. Valet was very friendly and nice.More infoDon Coqui Edgewater (New Jersey)Price: Very Expensive• Latin American• Edgewater•4.4
