Best Authentic Restaurants in Gaithersburg

In general, the experience at True Food Kitchen was positive. When we got there, we were told we'd have to wait until exactly 12 (our reservation time) to be seated because they were short staffed and couldn't seat us yet (the restaurant was more than half empty). Our server was very nice and responsive. Two of the three items I had were very good--the salad with strawberries and the hummus wrap. The chicken wrap was a bit dry and tasteless. I've been to the restaurant several times and the food is usually good.

Our dining experience checked all the boxes for the place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The welcome, the ambiance, and a lovely table setting that addressed the occasion prepared us for an enjoyable time. The waiter was kind, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. I ordered steak, which I rarely eat, and I have no regrets. It was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. It's on the top of my list as a special occasion restaurant.

We went the day before Father's Day for lunch (normally not opened that early) and it was great. It wasn't crowded, the service was excellent, and it was quiet so it was easy to talk. They offered a special for Father's Day - "Tea pot party". It was fun and it was cheaper than the normal four course offering while providing most of the same options (tea, tea party sandwiches, cheese fondue, regular fondue with limited entree options, and chocolate fondue) . We had fun and I would highly recommend it!!

Everything was fantastic I appreciate everything that the waiters and the owners did for me for my birthday. I will be back soon.
