Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. A native New Zealander, Hamish brought with him a great passion for blending the great Asian cuisines that make up the Western Pacific Rim. At ROKA, he has developed the restaurant’s authentic but contemporary menu, fusing his knowledge of Japanese ingredients with his love of quality, seasonal British produce.     Roka Dubai has been my list of restaurants to go to for a while and I am pleased to say that it was outstanding. Menu choice is large enough to have variety but not too big to be overwhelming. I could go on and on about great an evening we had but it’s sufficient to say it was excellent. First class service from our waitress- she deserves a mention.

    We had the set lunch available on M-F. The food & selection was outstanding. A fantastic opportunity to try Tresind’s very varied menu. Everything was delicious & plentiful. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. Cannot recommend it enough, excellent choice & value.

    The only area of improvement is the execution. Food was missed, delayed. The team did compensate :) But overall we loved our visit and highly recommend.
