For special occasions always best bet, no surprises and good service.
Fearing's is an excellent special occasion place. Superb service. The menu is somewhat limited, but has some very imaginative entrees. We opted for the bison tenderloin and the nilgai antelope. There was a complimentary amuse-bouche as well as a complimentary dessert. (Had we known we may have passed on the dessert we ordered). Perfect portion control.
Only issue was when we settled the check. We used our Open Table rewards and there was a problem with the Open Table rewards electronic card. Fearing's comped us on the balance owed... That is true customer service.
Beautiful restaurant, and wonderful food! What's not to like?
The ambiance was amazing-very peaceful, dim, enjoyable. Service couldn’t have been better. The valet process was fast and smooth. The food was excellent, well worth the money in my opinion. We will definitely return, as there were many items on the menu that we would like to try.
Family get together
If you want to eat somewhere that you know you’ll be blown away every. single. time. this is the place. Chef Dean makes a point to greet every guest and explain the menu. And every dish is perfection. So very good and so very worth the experience. One of the best restaurants in Dallas.
Dinner was delicious but I felt the signature cocktails were okay but not great. Overall enjoyed dinner and had great service.
Amazing food. Fine dining with a slight Texas twist on items. Some of the best food I've eaten, no joke. Will definitely be coming back here when we're in town.
Food and restaurant were amazing! Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Suprisingly filling and I fangirled when Dean Fearing introduced himself to our table.
The best restaurants in Dallas. The service and food are amazing
Great service from Jeff. Red snapper and antelope were delicious. Bbq oysters Rockafearing (fried on spinach) and ancho Cesar tasty. The extra touches were delicious - especially the strawberry cookies and cream panna cotta. The only downside was being seated by the prep area and back door that was chilly (thank you Jeff for keeping one side closed). Chef Fearing, thank you for your warmth and kindness.
The food was not horrible but it was not great either, had a better lunch at Whiskey Britches the next day. If I didnt see multiple staff members stairing at my girl friends chest the entire night I may have given a better rating. To look and see is one thing but to look and stare every chance you get the entire time we are there is disturbing. True Ritz Carlton experience there, thanks for nothing Fearings, hopefully you talk to your staff about staring at women. Definetly ruined the ambience for a Valentines Day dinner, I regret tipping!
Valentines dinner done right!! Down to every detail, Fearing’s delivered a beautiful experience!
Went for Valentine’s Day and my wife birthday with another couple and neither of us were impressed. Arranged for 2 separate vases of a dozen roses to be in our table and only 1 were delivered as rest misplaced the other one. We had a fixed menu which we were aware of but the food arrived cold and bland and tasteless. Do not think we will return given a choice.
The chef really cares about the product he is putting out... And it shows
5 Year anniversary dinner / early valentines. Our first date was here. Can’t say enough about how outstanding the food and service are. Dean came by our table and when he heard about how our first date was here, he went out of his way to step up the already amazing service and even treated us to free dessert. Just love Dean, such an awesome dude. Will be back again and again!
The food was excellent and the menu is wonderfully thought out by Chef Fearing. Chef Fearing visited each table and was a welcoming host. The main service staff were lacking in attentiveness by comparison to the Somm and kitchen. Overall great experience and will be going back.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary!
It was great! However, there were a few shells in my crab mac and cheese. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will return for seconds.
Service is always tops at Fearing's, and the food is always impeccably prepared. It's also a fun place to dine especially in "Dean's Kitchen." And, the cuisine is great and changing; makes you want to come back for more. Dean and staff, y'all are the best!
We have been to Fearing's many times and had such a nice time last Valentine's Day weekend that we decided to return this year. There were three things that I found less than wonderful this time.
1) The idea of being summoned by text to my table really was offputting. There were three hostesses plus the maitre 'd standing at the host stand, and I was supposed to respond to a text as if I were in a chain restaurant or diner? I even asked them to come get me and they didn't...On a hunch I checked my phone and noticed that our table was ready. Not happy with this development!
2) Waiter forgot part of our order. Luckily Dean Fearing himself stopped by just as we had gotten served, and took care of it immediately, and even arranged to have the item comped from the bill. Still, it left me wondering if they had just forgotten or if it was coming, and my husband waited to start his meal, so it wasn't seamless.
3) Not that we would ever leave hungry from Fearings, but....the waiter also forgot our mignardise, the little box of surprises that was delivered to all the other tables around us.
I know these are picky, but we do expect a higher, more seamless level of service at Fearing's, so these took away ever-so-slightly from an otherwise lovely experience.
Every dish we had was perfect. Bison was tender and had wonderful flavor. My scallops were a tad salty but not too much to not enjoy it. The oyster app was the right amount for us and had a delicious crust. Our two servers were incredibly friendly and very attentive.
Amazing night for my wife and me. We were celebrating an early Valentine’s Day. It was romantic. I am satisfied.
The menu is so unique. When we travel to Dallas we always head to Fearings for an outstanding experience. The Chef and staff are very engaging - they always make you feel welcome.
Great service, great food, with a very enjoyable ambiance. Very diverse menu with excellent desert choices.
First time and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The owner takes pride in ensuring the guests enjoy the food and he is very personable. We will be back. The steak was perfect and the drinks and dessert were absolutely amazing!
Great food and atmosphere. Great menu options with some “game” options as well. Had a great time
Coming from the United Kingdom and booking this on the understanding this was up market in the Ritz-Carlton have to say it was an utter disappointment.
From how the plates looking old with the design and logos half missing on them to getting a piece of fried lobster. If I wanted something which tasted like KFC I would of just done a drive thru.
Very sad and feel well out of pocket.
Wonderful experience! Excellent service and provided a special treat when I noted that it was my husband’s birthday. Definitely a must try.
Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dallas and enjoyed the brunch. Great service and food. Great hotel too.
Amazing food , wine and service !!!
Food and service were excellent.
After a long flight from Australia, we were greeted at the restaurant by a lovely man who should me to our table for 5. I was blown away with the service, our table allocation in the restaurant and the food was superb. We will certainly recommend to our colleagues and friends. Thankyou
Always excellent and great atmosphere. Thank you to Dean Fearing himself for greeting us.
The food was fabulous and the service was top-notch. A balance of sophistication and friendliness. And Dean Fearing came by our table twice during the course of the evening to chat and ask it we had any questions. It was a memorable evening of the best food including a complimentary soup shooter before dinner and sweets afterwards. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly; not at all intimidating.
The service was unusually slow and the food was not up to their standards.
Fantastic food and service as always! Easily my favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Service was great, prompt, attentive. The apple dessert was quite dry, surprisingly - it might be the first thing I’ve ever had that I didn’t LOVE at Fearing’s.
Today was our first brunch at Fearing’s and for the most part we enjoyed our dining experience. The Restraurant Management should take note and look at the overhead light fixtures above several booths along one side of the dining area, and remove the dead bugs your customers can clearly see in the light fixtures above. Little things like this take away from what should be a fine dining experience for your customers. We hope to dine there again sometime in the future.
Everything about this is first class. We had 5 for a birthday dinner, lots of different selections, all were outstanding. The server was wonderful, helpful and had the bar make me a drink she remembered from Austin. It was great. Go to this restaurant and you will not be disappointed.
