Fazzini's Taverna Ratings and Reviews
Fazzini’s has been our go-to since they opened. All staff are always wonderful and the food is fantastic. We miss the Sunday brunch with Jazz but lunch there is aways fantastic. For dinner we have never been disappointed. Linda is the best server ever and she always makes our visit special. Jeb has coordinated a work Christmas Party for us in the past and everything is always exceptional.
I love the risotto specials with either salmon or scallops. But aside from that, the restaurant has delicious options for me and some of my pickiest eater friends. The restaurant has a great drink menu. I do find, however, that although Fazzini's has a pizza oven, that their pizza is very mediocre. I ordered a pizza (I think it was artichoke or asparagus) and it only had 4 (counted FOUR) pieces of the vegetable on it. The pizza was really disappointing. But there are so many other good things on the menu, I just choose something else.
I don't usually write reviews but my experience at Fazzini's was so excellent, I had to make a comment. My mom has a dairy allergy. When it turned out that the dish that she ordered had cheese in the breading, rather than having her order something else, the waitress came out with a suggestion from the chef for an off-menu alternative that would accommodate her allergy which my mom accepted - and it was delicious. It takes an excellent chef to be able to improvise on a night when the restaurant was full and was also hosting a large party. I would highly recommend Fazzini's for anyone with food sensitivities or allergies. But the food is great too so it is worth a visit whether you have allergies or not.
My wife and I took our visiting daughter to Fazzini's for dinner. This was the first visit for all of us.....what a wonderful find. The food was excellent, the ambiance was wonderful and the service was superb. My daughter has returned to the west coast and I can promise my wife and I will return to Fazzini's. Our first visit was due to a gift card a friend had given me....our next visit will be because we really want to go back to re-experience the great meal we had. I have, and will continue to, recommend this 'lil gem to all my friends.
Great food. Fun atmosphere. Family-friendly, but not annoyingly kid-dominant. Menu is thoughtful and food is interesting and tasty. The place is always full of folks of all ages -- twenty-somethings on a date, families with young kids, older folks with their adult children and empty-nesters. I love a place that all ages want to hang out in for the night.
This has quickly become my favorite Italian restaurant. They have fresh home made pasta as well as gf and veggie options. They have amazing dishes like the meatballs with polenta. But most importantly to me, they have the best linguine with white clam sauce. My grandparents used to make linguine and clam sauce like this for special occasions. Well, and I almost feel guilty saying this but, Fazzini's is better! Best Italian food I've had in years. I can't speak highly enough of the food here. Very clean and nicely renovated space. All the staff were quite friendly. But really the food is the star of the show here. If you like authentic Italian this place is a must try.
Food was delicious. Service fair. A little on the expensive side. Considering the pasta dishes are a bit highly priced, they could at least come with a salad. We split a small salad for $5 and it definitely should've come with the meal. So many other Italian places come with all you can eat salad it really was a bit of a turn off to not at least come with a side salad.
This was our first visit to Fazzini's. The service was exceptional, easily the best I've experienced in the Baltimore area. The bean soup was hearty and the cream of crab soup was creamy. Sausage ravioli and chicken francaise were savory and filling. Servings were very ample, although we somehow found room for chocolate lava cake. Highly recommended. Make a reservation since they're popular and busy!
I was served the wrong dish. I ordered lasagna, but got eggplant parm. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to raise a fuss while dining with another couple. I didn't want to hold up everyone's meal but,
I don't like eggplant!
Suffered through half of the dish.
Enjoyed all of the items ordered. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
2 person table was slightly crowded when food and drinks arrived, but wait staff did a good job of clearing as the meal progressed. Wait staff was clearly educated on the menu. Will definitely return.
Service was satisfactory to good, but the food didn't quite measure up. I had the specialty lasagna, and it seemed that the chef forgot some steps in the layering. The ground beef was dry, and it fell out from between the pasta layers. Next time I'll get the bronzini.
