The service is extremely painfully slow.
Steak was under cooked and had a hard time getting refills
Good food - good value - service was a little disorganized
Food and service was great. Disappointed that the management allowed a group of regulars to be loud and very obnoxious. It was obvious that the management knew them all where in first name basis. Very sad they kept serving a table of loud drunk people and allowed them to disturb others.
We had filet and prime rib which were good but slightly over done. We also ordered mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts and this not so much. I love Favorites and was very disappointed this time. The mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts had very heavy garlic in them which left me with that taste masking everything Also the Brussels sprouts were extremely greasy, it was puddled in bottle of bowl. Service was very slow but don’t believe it was the servers fault. Favorites is my favorite place to go for a steak but this time just disappointed.
In the past our service was very slow this time the service is great the food is always been great!
The food is very good. The service is poor.
The service was poor. We were seated a few minutes prior to 7:30 pm. It was suppose to be a birthday celebration for my wife instead it turned out an hour later still waiting for the meal which was ordered. On two separate occasions I inquired about the meal which was ordered but could not get a reasonable response. One server said “ I will find your server.” I felt like I was not important enough to spend 30 seconds to check on dinner. However, others that were seated after me were being served. I cannot comment on the food because it never made its way to the table. The severs were rude and it appears that they were not focused on the customers needs. Would I ever go back to Favorites or recommend this restaurant to anyone, absolutely not. Poor management of service and it appears that the chef do not have a clue of what’s happening in his restaurant.
We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food, service and friendliness of the staff
Lovely as always
Wonderful menu! Such a great surprise tucked inside of Belterra and yet when you are eating so far away. Excellent food
Food was very slow coming to the table
Food was excellent. Server forgot about us after the food was served. We had to find a manager to get her to bring our check.
There was a large party and management was not prepared for it with staff. Unfortunately we were not part of the party. After 25 minutes of no server acknowledging us, our busser was fantastic and took our drink order. The bar was out of the elder flower liquor, which is a specialty drink. 35 minutes later we we served our food. We’ve had inattentive staff before, but nothing like this. The Manager never came to our table. Her/his staff was left to apologize and offered to make up the difference between our voucher and the check. We will return because our food was delicious.
We waited 55 minutes for our steaks then when we finally recieved them, they were overcooked and dry!
After a bad experience the previous week, we were convinced to come back with a comp. We were surprised that the service was worse than before. There were 4 in our party. The server seemed stressed and completely forgot to put one of our entrees. She brought out the crab Oscar, but the filet came nearly 20 minutes later. By then, the crab Oscar was cold and we had to ask for a new one. We ordered 2 desserts, both the same. They were incomplete. The response from the server, “the kitchen must have plated it wrong”. I’m not sure how that happened considering she prepared it table side. I guess I shouldn’t complain about a free meal, but it was to make up for a previous bad experience. The irony is that this experience was worse.
The waitress was nice one minute then acted annoyed with us another minute. We never could understand why. The other wait staff was very nice at all times.
We ordered martinis and they did not seem as full as they usually are. I ordered another drink this time from their specialty menu. The waitress acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. When I got the bill, the specialty drink I ordered was listed as a White Russian for $8. My specialty drink was supposed to be $6. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to deal with her.
Something has happened. We used to enjoy eating at Favorites, but our last two visits have been very disappointing. On this visit the service was the worse that we ever had. The waitress was "training" someone new, but I think someone with experience should be training her. We had jumbo shrimp appetizers, they were eaten right away, but we had to look at the empty shells the entire meal. They were never cleared off the table. One of our party ordered the nights "special", seared sea bass on a bed of mashed potatoes and crab meat. The sea bass was luke warm, and the potatoes were ice cold. The meal must of have been sitting a long time before being served. We never seen the waitress, or her helper again, not even walking the floor, until she finally showed up to ask if we wanted dessert! The other three meals were fine, as they were standard items on the menu. Felt bad for our fourth dinner person.
Our Thanksgiving dinner was very enjoyable. Please add more vegetarian options to the menu.
Unfortunately, the past two times dining at Favorites has been disappointing. The steaks have been tough even though they were cooked medium. The potatoes were hard, not cooked all the way The seasoning on the steak and mushrooms was so excessive that the salt flavor burned your mouth. Not sure what has happened. There was two of us and it has taken 3 hours to eat. Usually 1 hr 15 minutes or longer to get waited on and served. Very disappointed.
Having been there several times in the past, we were very disappointed to see that Calamari was dropped from the appetizer menu. It was one of our favorites. Our server this visit, Emily, was great. One of us ordered the "special", which was a rolled up stuffed flank steak. When served the meat was cooked to order, but after the first, and then the second bite, it tasted like someone had dumped a salt shaker on it. So another separate entree was ordered to replace it.
The food was delicious the service was a little mediocre we had to wait 35 minutes for a salad other than that everything was great!
wonderful place to eat and great service. I will come back. Thank You!
Ordered filet medium arrived rare and prime rib was supposed to be medium rare and was well done. Baked potato was on the cold side.
The waiter was very slow. The food arrived about 30 to 40 minutes after ordered. Prime rib was over cooked and cold. Waiter never returned to table to check or refill drinks. Another server filled drinks. Another server gave us dessert menus after we requested it. No one came for order, so we skipped dessert and then had hard time getting our bill so we could leave.
Service was terrible. Our waitress took our order and we didn’t see her again. We had to flag her down to get our bill which she could only tell us the total but couldn’t produce a hard copy to bring to our table. The food was ok but I’ve had much better there.
I have eaten at Favorites many, many times. It's always been delicious with excellent service. So, I took my friend to dinner there for her 70th birthday. The service was extremely slow. Our server was nice but he was literally brand new and very inexperienced. I mentioned something to the hostess as my friend waited on her martini for over 15 minutes. I could see it sitting on the bar but no one was able to deliver it. The hostess informed me they were "having staffing issues." Someone else delivered our food that admitted he didn't even work in the restaurant, but another part of the casino. He also shared that they were having staffing issues. Our food tasted fine but it was cold. Our waiter struggled to open a bottle of wine at our table. I felt sorry for him. He was extremely nervous. This was not a good experience. It was terribly disappointing!
We were sat at our table immediately upon arriving. We weren’t given any menus or water. The dining room wasn’t packed and had plenty of open tables. None of the waiters acknowledged us and after 15 minutes of not being waited on, we left. As we left, the hostess, that just sat us told us to have a nice night. I told here, it would have been nice if we could have been waited on during the 15 minutes we sat at our table being ignored. She had nothing to say. We actually left the casino and went to The Precinct and received the best service ever! Favorites could learn a thing or two about fine dining from Ruby’s restaurants. I’m just glad my wife and I didn’t let this ruin our date night, we just laughed about it as we walked to the car. Definitely won’t be back to the restaurant and probably not the casino either, we’ll just go to Jacks and eat at one of the establishments downtown.
Steak was very good when it finally arrived, my wife’s chicken was just so-so. Service was extremely slow and we were never asked to refill drinks. I even set my glass on the edge of the table hoping someone would notice an empty glass.
Food is great
Can't wait to go again
Disappointed that they took lasagne off the menu. Believed they were short on staff because service is normally much quicker
It’s been quite a while since I’ve been there. There were a few changes to the way things were done and served but, not terribly noticeable. The menu this time did not impress me. They’ve had much better choices in the past. My friend’s steak was excellent but, I chose the Chicken Scallipini. The chicken was excellent but, the spaghetti and sauce on it was very bland and sour tasting. It was highly recommended by our server and hostess but, I would not recommend it. It also takes a very long time from start to finish and we already had a later reservation than I wanted. The place was not filled to capacity so I don’t know why it takes so long and the reservations are so spread out. Must be a staffing issue. Also, one of the chefs spent at least 1/2 hour standing there talking to a table he apparently knew. While that normally doesn’t bother me he spent way too much time there and he should have at least stop by other tables to ask how things were. I’ve have other chefs do that at times and that’s when the experience there was more pleasant and food was better.
We had a 6pm reservation and were seated immediately. We both ordered the 8oz filet mignon and they came out cooked perfect and tasted awesome. Great service. We will surely go back again soon.
Would NOT recommend unless you have a FREE coupon from the casino!
Service was SLOW and the food was COLD.
And don't expect ANY sides with your main entree! My husband ordered a steak and that's ALL that came! We did order a side of mushrooms and they were stone cold.
The eggplant that I ordered was cold and smothered in a lukewarm, bland tomato sauce.
We would have been VERY upset if we would have had to "paid " for this meal
The food, as always, was delicious. We sat at our table 8 minutes before we received menus. Then when we ordered our choices, they were out. We had to look at the menu again and make another choice. The table that was seated next to ours was a large group of men. They were very LOUD the more they drank, the louder they got! As we reached the end of our meal, we could not hear each other speak! We waited for a dessert menu to order. Again, our original selections were out. We had to look over the menu again. We settled for the creme brulee'. It wasn't very good but cost $9! We were at dinner for 2.5 hours and it was only the 2 of us! Our bill was $85 but we did win more than that at the slots!
Had shrimp cocktail. Shrimp large but had no flavor and were tough. Caesar salad bland. Steaks were reall good tho
We had to wait a couple minutes to be seated, but not too much inconvenience. The service was just fine and the food was very good. It took about twenty minutes for the entree to arrive. We didn't care for the forties era music.
Special night, Girlfriends’ 50th Birthday. Both ordered Blackened King Cut prime rib, server even checked with us twice to make sure we ordered correctly, but received bone-in ribeyes. We even commented to one another that this was a little different but not having prime-rib there and getting it BlK’d didn’t know what to expect. Didn’t finish the meal and wasn’t impressed. Didn’t even realize it was bone-in ribeyes until I got the bill. It they charge $65 apiece for that bone in ribeye they should be ashamed. They did fix the bill bu charging is for King cut Prime Rib but was still left paying over $150 for something we didn’t even order and wasn’t impressed with. The left overs are still in the fridge. The server was OK, he did mention he was filling in so I guess I’ll give him a little lead way for screwing it up but $150’s is $150’s. Heard good things about there prime rib there and that was the reason for selecting favorites for a special occasion. Will not make that mistake again. Although their prime rib maybe great, the bone-in ribeyes are not very good, especially if they charge $65 a pop. If you want a great meal, don’t make the mistake we did, you might not get what you ordered and left with a cool $150 tab to pay for, that’s not including drinks !
Large portions of delicious chicken and pasta dishes.
Steak was ordered medium rare at best it was medium very close to medium well. Waitress was friendly but overall very poor. She didn't keep drinks full or check on us at all. We actually had to get up to find her to receive our check. Very poor experience at what was supposed to be a nice restaurant. The manager did cook another steak and comp two fresh sides as would clearly be expected.
