Restaurant cancelled my Sunday 1pm reservation for a party of 8 on Saturday at 6 pm.
Had reservations at 8:30pm today and when I arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 it was closed. Lights were off and chairs were turned upside down on the tables. And I got a confirmation the day before to confirm my reservations.
Will never go back to try it. No one called me to let me know the restaurant was closed on a Friday night.
Winded up going to Antica Pesa one of my favorite restaurants and ended up having a nice night and dinner.
Made a reservation for 14th Feb, when we arrived the reastaurant was closed. Id advise calling ahead first. Eaten here many times before and no prior complaints
Made a reservation for Valentines evening at 7pm through open table. Showed up and the restaurant was closed. No sign stating why. Just closed.
My wife and I came here before heading to a show at Brooklyn Bowl. The food was OUTSTANDING - the dishes were cooked quite literally to perfection and were even plated delicately. I notified them I was celiac and they helped guide me through the gluten free options. We had the Brussel Sprout Salad and Sausage to start (Both amazing, I preferred the sausage) and then I had the gluten free Short Ribs which were out of this world (it had a perfect crust) and my wife had the handmade pasta- she said it was so light it didn't even feel like she was having pasta. We will 100% come back and intend on showing friends this Williamsburg gem.
Not great! We ordered avacado toast and it took Almost forty minutes. The staff was under staffed and not attentive at all. Very disappointed.
We ejoyed brunch yesterday at the Fat Goose. The food [ mushroom omelette and French toast] was terrific. The service was friendly.
Very relaxing and cozy place on a snowy day.
Slow to bring cocktails and the check was wrong, took them very long for fixing the right amount
Chill spot for a date. Get there early and get to know your server. You’ll be treated like a star the rest of the evening.
I personally like this place. It's a good spot for a regular date with someone you've been dating for a few dates +
Beautiful restaurant but menu was lacking for such an ambiance.
Great find only a couple of blocks from the water and a park. Started with an excellent Bloody Mary followed by home made and hot out of the oven biscotti. Everyone's egg dishes were cooked perfectly. The home fries were crispy to perfection. Will definitely be back.
Love it! If we're in the area next time we will be back!!! Delicious food, great service and ambiance!
Highly recommended. The food is creative and original. Great value for the price.
Went back third time. Food is still good but the portion of the food is inconsistent. Some entree e.g. The scallops plate we ordered had 3 scallops and they were small. It would be better at least there were 4 scallops. The duck entree is bigger in compared to all the other plates we ordered. The menu has very small selection and it is either you like them or don't. Our waitress was nice and always smiling but some other staff were dull faces. I may go back and hope the next time they have some improvements on their menus and the staff can be more welcoming.
Went to Fat Goose for brunch and both of our egg dishes came out cold. In addition, there was no seasoning on the eggs, making them very bland. Service was scattered - it seemed that there were only two people running the whole restaurant. It's a shame because the restaurant has great decor and is in a ideal location.
Food wasn't good there is a reason this place is empty but we give a go and that was mistake!
Beautifully plated food that was perfectly executed. Cocktails were tasty and they accommodated the vegan member of our party. Quiet and not crowded.
My husband and I had been there before about a year ago and we loved ii which is why we returned with friends. This time there was a different chef who is much more experimental and quirky. Some things were great (the kimchi and an awesome merique dessert) while my salmon dish had a bit too many things going on and my friend's pork belly was too salty. Atmosphere service excellent. Worth going.
good food good service. happy hour avail as well. would come back
I thought the food was gross
The food was nice although the main entrees took quite a while. The place was however empty except for one other table for a Friday night which kind of made for a dull evening.
The service was good and they were very pleasant.
Really liked the food and location. Great place and would recommend
The food was so good! We ordered chicken, Brussels sprouts and pumpkin gnocchi and all were incredible! Highly recommend the chicken - it was soft, succulent and juicy. The cocktails and beers were reasonably priced and tasty.
The food was terrible. The bread was clearly frozen and then heated to burning point. A good foie gras was ruined by a weird preparation. The waitress was nice and apologetic but it's almost surreal to find such bad cooking in Williamsburg.
Barkeep went out of his way to make a special cocktail for our table using ingredients he had on hand, and it was outstanding.
A party of 6 including a chef in our group was impressed withe the food preparation and presentation.
I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
The place is great. It's just that my foie grais was really salty. I was starving so no problem eating it because it still was good, but i also have a salty pallet so if it's salty for me then prob a lot salty for someone. My husband's pumpkin pancakes was also good, but not cook all the way through and not sure if that was intentional. The drinks were great, service was great so overall we'd still come back and try something else in the menu.
I went for Thanksgiving dinner with my fiancé. It was lovely- our server, Vanessa, was great & the food was delicious from start to finish. I definitely want to try the regular menu!
Pork Belly Sandwich was awesome. Great Bloody Mary too
I was so impressed by the quality of the food- and the unique mixing of ingredients everything was really outstanding.
We have 2 appetizers and 2 mains and it was just enough food.
Very nice place. The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. I would definitely go back.
A quiet Sunday night, we received attentive service. We started with the blistered Shishito peppers, followed by an incredible watermelon salad. All enjoyed the grilled Romaine.
I loved the Grouper with Bok Choy, one of my companions raved over the Chicken with carmelized leeks. We would all go back again for the unusual flavor combinations as well as friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
Service was ok but the food was more than disappointing. What looked like a great menu definitely lacked the execution and finesse required for the ingredients used. Some of the plates tasted flat out disgusting. Others where bland or a bad combination of flavors.
Horrendous service. Decent food. Many open tables on a Saturday night.
The portions were really tiny. The food was pretty good though. I had the shoshito appetizers which were yummy and the octopus which was charred and awesome. The farro with the octopus was really undercooked, hard and chewy
This place was wonderful - they accidentally sat us in the wrong spot so they made us get up halfway through our meal, but were so great, they ended up comping our entire meal as an apology! Too nice, and the food was absolutely delicious - the avocado toast and the chicken sausage thing blew me away. I'll definitely be back!
Laid-back yet elegant vibe. Good food. Would definitely return and recommend.
Everything was excellent!!! Food, service and ambiance. I would highly recommend! Thank you.
The food was delicious, plenty of interesting and unusual flavors. It was quiet, which was good and would work well for an intimate dinner. I would definitely go back. The service was friendly but the waiter seemed a little inexperienced.
Fat Goose is one of my favorite restaurants in Williamsburg. The place is spotless with a fabulous ambience. The staff is doting!
Most importantly the chef prepares the food with really nice flavors and beautifully . We had the chicken which was moist and delicious. The pork was moist and flavorful. Homemade bread!
Enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail at the bar; a nice place to meet up with friends.
There are a few tables outdoors which is a big plus in nice weather
A great Williamsburg find!
