Farraddays Steakhouse – Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park Ratings and Reviews
I really hate leaving a bad review because we have been here on several occasions and it was always wonderful.... until this last visit. It was an awful experience food-wise only. Danielle was our server and she was WONDERFUL! We have been bragging about Farradday's to ALL of our friends and finally we decided to come for my husband's birthday. We were completely embarrassed at having raved so highly and then it was a flop.
First of all the wine I have always had was discontinued. Not the biggest deal - Danielle found us a comparable wine and it was very good.
~ We ordered 4 appetizers which were all excellent (Escargot, 2 crab cake orders and the Firecracker Shrimp).
~ My husband and I split a wedge salad which was very good and they pre-split it for us which is a nice touch.
~ Three of us ordered the 12 oz bone in ribeye medium rare (my husband added a lobster tail to his order) and the other order was a filet mignon ordered md well). The 3 bone in ribeyes were SO THIN that they were tough like shoe leather. Could barely cut it, much less eat it. And the filet came out RARE. Danielle immediately noticed all of this and took ALL FOUR of our plates back to the kitchen - UGH! It had to be a fluke because this has never happened before, however, my husband said it is very strange to have a 12 oz bone in ribeye on the menu to begin with because that cut should be MUCH thicker - almost impossible for any chef to prepare that md rare. So now feeling embarrassed that we highly recommended this to our good friends adn this happens, we thought for SURE the second round would be perfect. Unfortunately not. The filet came out very good, but our ribeyes were the EXACT SAME - leather. Sweet Danielle noticed that none of us were eating and could lit
Steak was amazing but overpriced, I took the 16oz rib steak and it was very small, the service was very bizarre, they forgot to put the sauces on the table and when I finally noticed that they were for our table they were cold. There was a mistake in one order so our buddies didn’T eat at the same time as us. We were 7 and 6 of us too prime USD steaks, 5 were over cooked ( we asked medium rare) the manager came to apologize and took 72$ off the bill that was over 700$ . For the price they are charging, we were expecting a better experience.
Our dinner last night was a real gastronomic feast
The lobster bisque and the escargots are a real treat
Our dinner, the sea bass and the prime rib was cooked to perfection
Dominique made our night with his friendly attitude, and his wonderful wine recommendation.Dominique is a great asset to the casino .
We will be back to see Dominique and Peter
Our dinner at Farraddays was a special time. My strip steak was of the best quality prime beef around. It was cooked to perfection and the side sauces only enhanced the experience. My wife and her sister both had an extraordinary two pound lobster that was savored.
I must also say that my Onion soup was out of this world and one of the best ever. The wedge salad was right on and to add to my gluttony the creme brûlée was the perfect ending.
I have to add that Dominique saved a rocky start into a great night out. What an asset he is to their organization. Marcho our main server was spot on with a great attitude and professionalism.
Top it all off my favorite wine Far niente was incredibly reasonably priced which offsets the pricier menu which does however match the quality of the food!!!
Jack and Ricki at the bar are always friendly and offer excellent service. Dominque was warm and friendly and welcomed me back. He makes all Farraday's guests feel special and appreciated.
The food was excellent and is always served with a smile. I enjoyed a relaxing dining experience as I always do when dining at Farraday's. A rare find in a casino. I always come back!
The best steaks in Pompano Beach.
Junior our server recommended the carrot cake for dessert, it’s was sumptuous
A little disappointed with the fire cracker shrimp, in the past they were a delight and decadent. Now they are average. Small
Thanks Dominique for your special attention and your wine selection , you are the best.
This is one of my favorite restaurants hidden on the second floor of the Isle Casino Pompano Park. I never understand why it is so empty when the food presentation is Instagram-able, the food is delicious, it is reasonable priced, the service is 5 star and the staff is extremely friendly. Best Lobster mac & Cheese I have ever had and I order it everywhere it is on the menu!
In the mood for ALL VEGETABLES for a change and Farradays offers excellent options. Danielle served me a loaded baked potato, they have wonderful fresh corn off the cob, button mushrooms, sautéed or steamed spinach, etc, etc and Sunday they had a curried baked cauliflower. Dominique served my husband and fine red Cabernet Sauvignon with his steak and I was served a lovely white wine.
Dominique is back from vacation! The energy level rises considerably when he is at the front of the house. And we had the most superb meal of glazed duck with sour cherry compote. Out of this world paired with a red wine that hinted of berries. Just a perfect meal, served graciously by Junior.
The food was so salty that it was inedible. All four of us ordered the roast beef and were very disappointed with the plate and the meat was incredibly salty, very disappointed as your food has always been excellent. I did mention it to the waiter and he did not say a word.
Unfortunately., we did not complain as we were taking a friend out for his birthday, but driving home we all started to complain.
This was second time at this restaurant. First time my comment was, "nice restaurant but don't order steak". So this time I figured I'd give them a second chance. First time we had the wet aged steaks (less expensive), so this time we ordered prime filet mignon and KC strip. The filet was good but the strip was over done (ordered med-rare). Server Danielle was quick to notice also and she immediately got me a replacement. Danielle was great! The replacement was some none discript piece of meat that was terrible! THIS IS NOT A STEAK HOUSE! If you must go order anything else. We do not intend to return.
We dine at Farradays often and one of my favorite dishes is the lamb chops. This serving was probably the best I've ever had, anywhere. The chops were larger than usual and grilled with a fairly cridp and tasty outside while the inside was medium rare, pink, moist and incredibly flavorful. I sided the chops with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. World class meal. AND Dominique is presenting some of our favorite wines by the glass. Service by James and Danielle, as always was perfect
There were six of us and we were celebrating a birthday. We wanted to take our time with dinner and our waiter James was very accommodating. He checked on our table regularly but wasn't rushing us even though we ended up being his last table of the night. The food quality was good overall. Three of us had prime rib which was very good while the other three each had different fish dishes which they seemed to enjoy as well. We also had two appetizers, firecracker shrimp and escargot. The escargot was excellent while the shrimp were just okay. They were, nice, big shrimp, but the breading was a little soggy and they weren't that hot, making me think they just sat too long. The desserts were all huge, easily big enough to share. Overall we had a good experience and would go back.
We had a very nice dinner for two at Farraddays but if you're looking for a really good steak his is not the place. We had the 16 oz. rib eye and 6 oz. fillet mignon, both wet aged ( less expensive cuts, their Prime cut is $10-15 more). The rib eye ( defined as split bone in menu) is just too thin to retain juiceless and flavor. My wife enjoyed the fillet but it was tiny ( we understand we ordered 6oz). The sweet potato side was great as were the mixed cold seafood and shrimp cocktail appetizers. Cocktails were good and reasonably priced. We will go back, but not for steaks. Let me not miss, service by Marcho very good.
We went for birthday dinner and a casino employee who should have been at another location in the isle was banging on the piano. Not playing. And engaging the hostess in chitchat while the matrd was talking to regulars.
Unless you want to overpay or u just won on a slot. This is not the place for a younger couple. It's always elderly people and business men.
Food is great servers are great. But do you want to listen to a bunch of bored employees chit chatting.
We always enjoy our meal at Farradday's and consider it one of our favorite restaurants. Lobster bisque, chateaubriand, creamed corn, new potatoes, Caesar salad-all delicious. The staff is always friendly and professional. Once again, Peter was a perfect waiter and Dominique the perfect host/manager.
