Faro Italian Grille Ratings and Reviews
It was valentines dinner with friends, excellent 5 course menu, pre dinner drinks
The food was amazing, the service was professional and friendly
Usually there’s al least one thing that goes wrong with dinner service, but this was a flawless night !
Nothing less then exceptional !
Will definitely return to and recommend this restaurant
We went for Valentine's Day dinner. The menu was prix fixe with multiple choices for appetizer (the scallops were outstanding!), entree (both the veal and the maple-encrusted salmon were also excellent!) and dessert. I didn't really need the dessert, but it was chocolate-covered cheesecake...couldn't pass that up!
Well, we go here a couple times a year. This was Awful. We go with a group and get pizza, Drinks and watch football after a event in the area. This visit started with a "our computer is down and we do not have your reservation " The very nice hostess made this work and was extremely pleasant. THEN it was down hill from there. Somehow one pizza's toppings came out on pasta and not crust??? We said fine. One pizza was left on a rack, and fell as the waitress left the table. With half of my order on the floor and the other half made incorrect( only a apology , no corrected meal or credit on the bill) We continued to enjoy a couple drinks (took uber so everyone could have drinks and fun) . The bill was then dropped with no last call around 9pm & not even half time of the game. We were told they were waiting on us to close. We had to quickly finish our drinks and then wait outside for our ride. I will probably Never be back, Sadly. This restaurant should not take a 8:00 reservation if they plan on trying to close at 830-900 .
We had the Family Dining Option and the food was more than plentiful but most importantly it was all delicious. The appetizers to the Main Courses to the Desserts. All 8 of us found the food wonderful and to die for! The wait staff was cordial and friendly and available.
We highly recommend this restaurant to all. And we will return.
We visit Faro's in Laconia, NH on weekly basis in the summer months when we reside at our home on Lake Winnipesaukee. Given that our home is in Alton, NH, its a good 40 minute drive. The food at Faro's is consistently very good. The portion sizes are large and the quality is always excellent . I would highly recommend Faro's for excellent Italian cusine if you live or are traveling through the New Hampshire lakes region.
We have been here a few times with friends while in the Lakes Region. Food and drinks are always good. We all had the special steak tip ka-bob and all though it was excellent. We were there the night of a large company group and it was a little loud but not over-bearing. Will be back again. Hopefully we can sit outside next time!
Restaurant was recommended by friends. Food was quite good. Atmosphere not particularly appealing...painted black. Service, however, was horrible. Sat at the table for about 10 minutes before our waitress arrived and another 5 before she asked if we wanted drinks. Served bread but no butter and waitress was no where in sight to ask for butter. Both dinners with pasta and she never offered Parmesan cheese which we saw other servers were bringing. Other servers near us were very accommodating and promptly responded to our requests. Out server's attitude was, however, unengaged at best. Other reviews on yelp indicate a major problem with service at this restaurant. Food was quite good.
Nothing to brag about here except the mushroom tortellini, which was quite good. Everything else was so so. Dining room was so dark we couldn't read the menu. I guess relative to most places in Weirs Beach, it is fine dining. But it wouldn't last long in a foodie town.
Our waitress, Amanda was wonderful, very sweet and answered all questions. Our table was not what we would have chosen (in a back corner), but the food made up for it. Mussels were seasoned well. Among the four of us, we had lasagna, the Veal chop special, the halibut in pesto special and the Ziti with mushrooms and sausage. Not sure what happened at the bar - they did not have ingredients for a Mojito, and the mixed drinks that we did order were not that good. We missed our favorite bartender, Joe Dee. The wine selection is very good.
Probably the worst managed restaurant, should be delisted by Open Table! And no one cares, they all have an excuse, bar tenders Too busy, bar half empty, waiter chasing woman at bar, drinks sit on service bar 10 minutes, manager (I think) couldn't change the TV from infomercial, this is advertised as "watch your favorite sports", main course took an hour, dinning room not full. No sign of any management on floor. Not worth the risk of this place stay away!!!
Unfortunately my experience was not a good one - I went to Faros off season and it was terrific - I wanted to come back and take friends to share the wonderful experience that I had had in the winter.
The restaurant was so noisy that you could not converse - the acoustics are difficult in the Main dining area - It was not until the restaurant thinned out that we could enjoy chatting.
The food was not terrific - the all the Clams from PEI were inconsistent - the shank had no flavor - and the pasta was served with no sauce of any kind - no butter no red no olive oil - just dry pasta noodles - The Chicken Piccata was not flavorful as well - it was a fried chicken breast -- with a side of noodles - Every thing is extra - veg - salad - etc ---
We do not mind paying for a fine evening out if the entrees are great - but this was very disappointing considering that our first experience was a four star! --- I am not sure I will be tempted to try it again ...
Faro is always one of our go to places food is always great and service is good and friendly, like any place in the lakes region help is an issue so sometimes you could have a new person waiting on you so give them a break. Do make a reservation in the summer it will be busy .
When we arrived 20 minutes early we were told we would be lucky to be seated even at our scheduled time. We opted for first available which ended up in a very noisy bar area. The waiter came right away to take our drinks but from there the experience was not good. After finally taking our order we had to speak to the waiter twice about
The order The last time we spoke my husband was ready to walk. But the waiter came back and said it was being put on plates as we speak. The food was good and hot but the steak ordered med was very well done. The manager did come to our table and apologize and compted our meals
