The food was great.....The service was great.....The wine was great.
It was a little loud but overall I would definitely recommend it to friends.
We love this restaurant and have been several times for lunch and dinner. This was our first brunch experience and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious.
Good food with a good location. Great deserts imported from Modern Bakery in Boston's North End. A solid Italian restaurant in the lake region.
One of our favorite regular restaurants. Service is outstanding and the food consistently meets expectations. Normally the food is served quite hot and it’s necessary to wait a few minutes for it to cool but this time it was served at eating temperature but seemed to cool very fast so it was a little cooler than we would like as we reached the end of our serving. But still quite delicious. One of the best restaurants in the Lakes Region, if not the best.
All meals were very good. The seafood special was a good choice however I would have enjoyed it more with less sauce and different pasta. Other than that all was great and our server was excellent.
Here again for a birthday. There is a private chefs table that we enjoyed on this return trip.
Without a doubt the best Italian dining in the lakes region. Shawn our server was great.
We have dined at Faro's several times for dinner, experiencing excellent food and service each time. We decided to try their Sunday Brunch on Easter Sunday. As with their evening fare, the food and service were again excellent. Faro's is our favorite fine dining establishment.
Service was good, but food quality was unimpressive. Veal Saltimbocca dish had only 4 very small pcs. of veal. Appeared to be more of a bar scene than dining. Should have known being located across from Weirs Beach. Most likely will not be back.
This was the second time to Faro for my wife and I, on both occasions the food was amazing. On our first visit we experienced the best service we have ever received. For our second trip, we never received water until asking twice and our bread was delivered just prior to our meal. The waiter seemed to be pre-occupied with socializing and left us to look for assistance when we needed another drink rather than checking on us. The food is worth a return and the first experience we had at Faro will have us try it again, hopefully with better service.
After having had a great previous dining experience for a party of 2, we suggested Faro to family members for large birthday celebration. We made a reservation for 14 only to arrive to a table for 10. The the hostess scrambled around pulling tables from two different directions in order to acoomodate our party. It went downhill from there. Very slow service. Our server was also not experienced enough to handle our size party. The time between courses was long. When I tried to order an appetizer I was asked if I could wait till she was done taking drink orders. She served bread to the table but we were never asked if we wanted more when all the baskets were empty. Appetizers were dropped on the table abruptly . The Brushetta was overly oiled, the bread wasn't even lightly toasted and we received two small pieces for 9$. Other appetizers were ordered but I truthfully don't recall all of them. I did see Calamari served with a very large portion of marinara, excessive really for an appetizer. Once our dinners finally arrived. We were finished before our server reappeared. No second drink order, no follow up on if our meals were to our liking. She did return to refill the water glasses but still no inquiry of how our dinners were just the comment," I guess you enjoyed your meals because your plates are empty"! Very unsatisfactory experience. The food was good but not worth the total experience. The consensus was we would have had a better time at Olive Garden...
Amazing food, service and ambiance! There was no wait and our table was perfect! Thank you!
Very friendly atmosphere with a waiter who was very helpful. A favorite salad had just gone off the menu and he asked the chef to make it. Wine list was a good range of choices with options our group were familiar with. Nice place to get together with friends
It was valentines dinner with friends, excellent 5 course menu, pre dinner drinks
The food was amazing, the service was professional and friendly
Usually there’s al least one thing that goes wrong with dinner service, but this was a flawless night !
Nothing less then exceptional !
Will definitely return to and recommend this restaurant
We went for Valentine's Day dinner. The menu was prix fixe with multiple choices for appetizer (the scallops were outstanding!), entree (both the veal and the maple-encrusted salmon were also excellent!) and dessert. I didn't really need the dessert, but it was chocolate-covered cheesecake...couldn't pass that up!
Best dinner out in the area of late. Valentine's menu was great and the service!!
Our waitress was pleasant and very helpful, food was delicious and the ambiance was terrific.
Wait staff were overwhelmed and not coordinated. Weird things like it took 3-4 requests from different staff to get something. Overall left with a very bad impression and will never go back.
Food was great, service was a little slow. Wish they had some entertainment on weekends. Wish it wasn't empty by 9:30 too!
Great atmosphere, the wait staff was very attentive and their new espresso machine has them serving up delicious martinis and more😍
Well, we go here a couple times a year. This was Awful. We go with a group and get pizza, Drinks and watch football after a event in the area. This visit started with a "our computer is down and we do not have your reservation " The very nice hostess made this work and was extremely pleasant. THEN it was down hill from there. Somehow one pizza's toppings came out on pasta and not crust??? We said fine. One pizza was left on a rack, and fell as the waitress left the table. With half of my order on the floor and the other half made incorrect( only a apology , no corrected meal or credit on the bill) We continued to enjoy a couple drinks (took uber so everyone could have drinks and fun) . The bill was then dropped with no last call around 9pm & not even half time of the game. We were told they were waiting on us to close. We had to quickly finish our drinks and then wait outside for our ride. I will probably Never be back, Sadly. This restaurant should not take a 8:00 reservation if they plan on trying to close at 830-900 .
We had the Family Dining Option and the food was more than plentiful but most importantly it was all delicious. The appetizers to the Main Courses to the Desserts. All 8 of us found the food wonderful and to die for! The wait staff was cordial and friendly and available.
We highly recommend this restaurant to all. And we will return.
We went for my moms 90th Birthday and she loved it. We have been here several times and the food and atmosphere is always excellent.
Thanks for making here 90th so special.
See you soon.
Excellent food as usual but service is consistently off .
Long wait for apps then dinner immediately following.
Took dessert/ coffee order with arm full of plates as stepping away from table.
Long time between coffee and dessert.
We visit Faro's in Laconia, NH on weekly basis in the summer months when we reside at our home on Lake Winnipesaukee. Given that our home is in Alton, NH, its a good 40 minute drive. The food at Faro's is consistently very good. The portion sizes are large and the quality is always excellent . I would highly recommend Faro's for excellent Italian cusine if you live or are traveling through the New Hampshire lakes region.
Best Italian we have had in a long time!!
We will be regulars!
We have been here a few times with friends while in the Lakes Region. Food and drinks are always good. We all had the special steak tip ka-bob and all though it was excellent. We were there the night of a large company group and it was a little loud but not over-bearing. Will be back again. Hopefully we can sit outside next time!
Had a great dinner here for my father's birthday. Everything was perfect, even the salad was delicious. Definitely keep the blackened bluefish around, so good! Our waitress - Chelsea was great. She was personable but yet professional.
The food was excellent! Can't wait to go back!
Restaurant was recommended by friends. Food was quite good. Atmosphere not particularly appealing...painted black. Service, however, was horrible. Sat at the table for about 10 minutes before our waitress arrived and another 5 before she asked if we wanted drinks. Served bread but no butter and waitress was no where in sight to ask for butter. Both dinners with pasta and she never offered Parmesan cheese which we saw other servers were bringing. Other servers near us were very accommodating and promptly responded to our requests. Out server's attitude was, however, unengaged at best. Other reviews on yelp indicate a major problem with service at this restaurant. Food was quite good.
Absolutely the best Italian food in the Lakes Region. Friendly atmosphere and great waiter. He was knowledgeable and attentive. What a way to celebrate an anniversary.
Nothing to brag about here except the mushroom tortellini, which was quite good. Everything else was so so. Dining room was so dark we couldn't read the menu. I guess relative to most places in Weirs Beach, it is fine dining. But it wouldn't last long in a foodie town.
Food was very good as well as service. Would recommend highly. Will definitely go back.
What a great job the owners have done transitioning this place from the Lobster Pound to what it is today. We totally enjoyed dinner there tonight. Perfect in every way!
It was not a good dining choice! I had ordered Chicken Piccata-it was not chicken piccata the way it is supposed to be prepared. It was deep fried with hardly any sauce.
The service was very very slow. Will not be returning!
Second time back and NOT at all impressed. They try to be a high end restaurant but that will never happen at the Weirs. Giving up on this restaurant.
On our first visit tp Faro's we had a great meal with visitors from Albuquerque. We enjoyed pizza ...one had a steak that was perfect! Our waitress, Chelsea, was very attentive but not overly so. We will be back.
Our waitress, Amanda was wonderful, very sweet and answered all questions. Our table was not what we would have chosen (in a back corner), but the food made up for it. Mussels were seasoned well. Among the four of us, we had lasagna, the Veal chop special, the halibut in pesto special and the Ziti with mushrooms and sausage. Not sure what happened at the bar - they did not have ingredients for a Mojito, and the mixed drinks that we did order were not that good. We missed our favorite bartender, Joe Dee. The wine selection is very good.
Made reservations through open table and said it was for a birthday. They have us special seating, a wonderful waitress, incredible food and complimentary limoncello at the end. We had a wonderful time!
Good restaurant Had a great time. The food is excellent and we will be returning again in the future
