Great service, drinks, and food!
Great happy hour brunch specials. Food was good but nothing out of this world.
Service was horrible. Waited 15 minutes after we were seated for a server to finally come by.
Speaking with friends I knew FARMiCiA would be a great eating experience with friends and loved ones, but I must say the experience, the food, the service, and the ambience was better than I anticipated. From start to finish, from drinks to food, from entrance to exit, from service to ambiance - my friends and I walked out o the restaurant saying we'd return in a heartbeat. Thanks FARMiCiA!!! See you soon.
Not many people in the restaurant yet the service was slightly slow. The bread and herb butter was great and the pork chop meal was WONDERFUL!!
Love this place! Food is always fresh and good, service is friendly and efficient, and it is not too noisy - you can actually have a conversation.
Food was delicious; server was excellent. Table was a bit close to our "neighbor" who didn't know the meaning of her "indoor voice" but other than that, it was great. Will go again.
FARMiCiA has one of the best vegan dishes in the city (pea risotto cakes). Excellent food and great value. Love the look of this restaurant and the service is always excellent. And the awesome bread doesn’t hurt either.
This was a great experience. We had a good time. The food was great and fresh. Good options for gluten free eaters.
We enjoyed a nice dinner at FARMiCiA. The portions were generous and service was attentive. We had one GF eater and they were thrilled to have a GF menu to choose from several options! We would definitely go again next time we're in the city!
Delicious food. Loved the vegan options.
This this our second visit and will definitely return.
Farmacia is my go to place for out of town guests. Never a bad meal, always a great experience.
The positives of the experience were the salad, meatballs, and decor. What I didn’t appreciate was the gimlet, which tasted like it was all sweetened lime juice, and the tomato “bisque” which tasted like tomato sauce. When I told the waiter it tasted too much like tomato sauce he became defensive and said that they made it IN HOUSE. I’m sure they do, but that doesn’t change the way it tastes. Maybe if they called it tomato soup they could get away with what they served but a bisque should be a bit creamy - not all tomatoes. The waiter recovered his composure and was cordial for the rest of the meal, but I imagine it was a strain given how perturbed he was about my feedback.
I went to FARMiCiA with a friend to catch up. We got there just before happy hour ended so we got drinks (1/2 off). The tonics are refreshing, light, and delicious. I ordered the blueberry tonic (Meditation I think it was called) it was strong and light at the same time, I didn't know that was possible.
For our food we were looking for light bites, so we just got 3 small plates. The grilled brie and prosciutto is a must try. The cheese platter was also good, though not nearly as good as the brie. The smoked salmon plate was also good. Overall we enjoyed the food, drinks, and the atmosphere.
Four of us shared three appetizers and 2 of us had a Halibut special over mushroom risotto and the other 2 had duck breast with farro. The two with duck were not entirely pleased because despite the chef recommendation of serving it medium they asked for and got med rare, and it was a little tough. Always listen to the chef's recommendation. The halibut and risotto was excellent, although the risotto was not made with arborio rice. Starters were grilled shrimp, crabmeat and crab salad, and smoked salmon with a creamy cheese on pumpernickel. all three were wonderful. Overall, we will be back.
I’ve always loved this place! The menu has a nice array of choices including healthy ones which I always go for. Usually have the French lentil salad but this time I tried the grain salad and enjoyed that just as much. The portions are generous enough for an entrée. The breads are complementary and yummy as well.
The noise level was minimal and it was a pleasure to be able to have a chat with my son without struggling to hear. This was on a Thursday night at about 7:30.
Good find in a busy neighborhood. Moderate prices. Our vegetarian choice of Pea croquettes with mushrooms and fiddle head ferns was excellent. So many different flavors.
Reservations and our waiter were very attentive to our needs based on theater timing. Our food was delicious and we made it to the show on time.
Special call out to the risotto cakes with English peas and fiddlehead ferns. This dish was off the charts, along with the carrot ginger soup.
Dinner was excellent with a varied menu including something for everyone from Vegans to steak eaters. I was a little confused by the BYO policy. Bottles of wine and champagne are okay to bring but not beer or hard liquor because they have a full service bar- but enjoyed myself just the same!
Excellent as always. Great food and cocktails. Very accommodating for special requests. Highly recommend.
Wow. Good stuff.
Solid experience good brunch happy hour but crowded. Make reservations!
Great spot. We'll be back next time we're in Philly!
Took my 8 year old granddaughter as part of an outing for her birthday. My burger was delicious; her grilled cheese left a lot to be desired, but there was french fried and chocolate milk. The service was great and so many people greeted her as we arrived and left. All in all not bad, but very very noisy at 2pm on Saturday.
It is imporrant to have reservations. Their food is excellent.
Best salad ever: the one with crab meat
Have dined here several times and have always had a pleasurable experience. Great food and excellent service. Very attentive.
Wait staff less than friendly, difficult to find and charged us for extra, but the manager was kind enough to refund the unnecessary overcharge. The food was mediocre and the noise level made it impossible to enjoy conversation. enjoy
I went with my mom to celebrate my birthday. We had reservations and were seated right away. The location was near the window in front so we were able to people watch and chat without bothering our neighbors or hearing their conversations. The server arrived almost immediately to inform us of the specials. He gave us a few moments to decide while getting our drinks. The food was tasty and not over portioned. I had the chicken and waffles; my mom the shrimp and grits. I usually have the Amish grits and sausage but wanted to try something different this time. The food is yummy. I loved that we were served within minutes and the attentive server was ready to remove our dishes when done. The food is adequately priced. I enjoy the ambiance; not too loud or oddly quiet.
Such a great find in Old City! Definitely recommend to anyone for a tasty brunch!
Nice location in Old City but food was mediocre at best. Didn't have the cocktails but they looked tasty. Skip the food and drink
The best bartenders EVER!
Food is consistently delicious. Was a bit surprised that the chocolate sauce covered dessert brownie was very dry today.
We all enjoyed our meals. We loved our waitress. She was knowledgeable and personable. Loved the Atmosphere of the restaurant.
When we arrived and sat down we felt very rushed by our male waiter. He seemed even more put out and dismissive when I asked if the bartender could make me a mocktail. Less liquor money for his End check I guess. If only restaurant could see there are a lot of people that don’t drink. You could add to the bar bill in mocktails. Our waiter was just not interested. I had to ask again if he could just ask the bartender for me.
When we ordered , he really pressed my dinner partner to get a protein in her salad. He was really hard selling.
My Caesar salad under seasoned. My fish over cooked. I ordered cappuccino and the waiter dropped it off, no sugar , no spoon. Unpleasant service.
Will not return
Had a better experience at brunch.
Food not hot and one half slice of bread not in keeping with menu prices. $8.00 for 2 meatballs?
First time there and loved the food. Glad we had reservations. It was brunch on a Sunday and it was very busy. We felt a bit rushed by our waiter (hence not 5 stars). Otherwise FAB!
Despite the favorable reviews the food was mediocre, cocktails were below average for Center City and our service person curt. Overall a disappointing experience. Cannot recommend in light of the many excellent restaurant choices in surrounding area.
Farmicia is our "go to" restaurant for before-theater dinners and it's always a reliably good choice. The food is fresh, creatively prepared and the menu offers a range of healthy options, which helps justify enjoying their delicious desserts. They have a good wine and beer list, and fun cocktails. The service is always professional and courteous. This is a great neighborhood gem, that clearly has a loyal following and a great, friendly vibe.
