FARMiCiA is the conception of Kevin Klause, James Barrett & Wendy Smith Born (owners of Metropolitan Bakery), who share a vision of a restaurant that captures the pleasures of simply crafted food & excellent beverages served in a relaxed yet lively environment. The emphasis is on great tasting food & beverages crafted from local, organic & artisanal producers. Located in Philadelphia’s historic Old City, FARMiCiA is a 122-seat restaurant & bar serving breakfast, lunch, an afternoon meal, a relaxed dinner & even brunch on the weekends. Park your car in the Park America lot adjacent to the restaurant on 3rd Street, at the Bourse Garage located on 4th Street between Market & Chestnut Streets, or the AutoPark at Old City, which is located on 2nd Street between Chestnut & Walnut Streets. There is a smaller lot on N. 3rd – the other side of Market – between Market & Arch as well. Metered street parking is also available throughout Old City, but you might not want to waste your time looking for one!

Join us for Dinner Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday from 5 pm to 7pm and Brunch Happy Hour on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm. All alcoholic beverages are offered at half the price, that includes draught beer, specialty cocktails, tonics, glasses of wine, etc. Pair a Barn Burner (FARMiCiA's own Bloody Mary) or a glass of champagne with your meal for half the price. What a great way to start the day and such a good deal!.

good for a business meeting. Enough options for everyone to find something they like. It isn't too loud, so you don't have issues hearing what the other people in your party are saying

We went to Farmacia for the first time for dinner as we usually do Sunday brunch. The service was great and I love the ambiance with the twinkle lights. My girlfriend and I both had the Tuna which was prepared amazingly over chickpea puree. We also had a great olive sampler for an appetizer. Can't wait to go again.

It was fairly busy when we went around 2pm. We had brunch there. EVERYTHING was amazing. I had the banana French toast and shrimp and grits. My boyfriend had the lump crab omelette and we shared the nova salmon. I don’t even write reviews but this place was delicious. We were able to get a round of half off drinks in before 2, so that was awesome. Service was good, I’ll be returning soon.

Had two specials: Parpadelle with Chicken Sausage, Mushrooms and Pecorino; and Grilled Bronzino, with Sautéed Greens and Saffron Rice. Both outstanding And so was our waiter!!

Served my soup- no spoon. Never told it was spicy or had a healthy kick to it.
Served cappuccino- no sweetener.... when told, still did not bring it- had to get it myself.
Service was off- inattentive.
Were there before and will return.

I've been here twice.. once for Sunday brunch.. and once for a business lunch. Both times I was going to be in the area so it was a convenient choice. I appreciate the healthy quality of the food and the attentive service. Overall, Farmicia a "good" restaurant, but I don't find it to be "great" like many other people do. I would go again if I was in Old City, but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go there.

This is a great spot for a special occasion. The food is sourced locally and prepared fresh. You can taste the quality in the ingredients. The mixed drinks are creative and the wine list is pretty good. I’ll be coming back to try their brunch sometime soon!

In town for work... They sat us at the quietest table in the restaurant upon request. Food was fantastic. I had the soup of day, apple carrot, I think. It was delicious and dairy free. I also had the squash risotto croquettes which were amazing. If I lived here I would definitely go back.

We went for a Sunday Brunch. It was a rainy Sunday so folks were lingering longer. We needed to wait for our table. the area at the front to wait is very small. Wait staff had to be careful in getting around. When we were seated our waiter was very friendly. Let us order drinks quickly to get the Sunday Brunch Happy Hour Price ( very nice ). He answered all of our questions about the menu. We ordered the Cheese Plate and the Lox plate for apps. They were both large enough for the party of 4 that we were. The main courses ( Crab Omelette, Tuna Salad, Chicken and waffles, quesadilla all were prepared to order and very tasty. The only down side I would comment on we made our reservations via Open Table I made mention of what the celebration was for. At no time did anyone from hostess to waiter make mention of it. The staff needs to pay closer attention to what folks write into their Open Table reservation forms.
