This is not my first time at Farmicia, we come here all the time since it's close to work and the food is good. But this time, my friends and I were really disappointed. I too work in restaurant and hospitality industry and I understand how crazy restaurant week can be. But, our server (or lack there of) was just nowhere to be found. First, it took him awhile to come by after we were seated. He then asked us for drinks which took awhile then he disappeared. He came back to get our meal orders then he disappeared for a while then 15 minutes later, he came back asking us what we ordered again! Our dish came SO late the two tables that came after us got their dishes already and we're sitting there empty handed. We couldn't find our server again so we had to ask the hostess to look for him. Our food came right after and the server never came back.. as in never came back! We asked the hostess again to locate him and then he showed up and asked us if we want the bill. I let him know we still haven't gotten the dessert and he said he'll be back. We waited there for 15 minutes and then he came back so at that point we asked him to just pack the dessert. He told us that they are busy (?? umm, really? you think?). He disappeared once again (I swear this lunch was like "where's our server?" game) and came back with a check and no desserts. I asked him AGAIN and he replied with "oh you never had it?". What do you think, buddy? We couldn't wait to get out of there, this server totally ruined our fun lunch . I don't know if I would go back there for a while. This was a total MISS!

Another very enjoyable meal here. It's unusual to find a restaurant that has such consistency in food, service and ambiance. Our waiter was friendly and professional and there when we needed him. We always enjoy a drink at the bar before dining. The bartenders are also very cordial and professional.

We went for Restaurant Week and did the tasting menu with our toddler. The food was great but the service was AMAZING and they went above and beyond for our little one-- made sure his food came out right away, brought extra grapes when they saw that he inhaled them, etc. We will be back!

Restaurant Week Sunday dinner for family of four. Restaurant had a nice crowd on a cold night. App, Entree and dessert. All enjoyed all courses. Highlights were shrimp app, veggie croquette Entree and all the desserts. Avoid the duck breast (tough, not flavorful) and the endive salad with too much blue cheese dressing.

We have been to FARMiCiA many times and we usually love it. This week was Restaurant Week (which I was unaware of when I made the reservation). The food was adequate but all the other times we have eaten there it was fabulous. We will avoid visiting during restaurant week but will definitely return again.

This place has been a trusted reliable place to me for years until this past Sunday. 3 of us order soup since it was such a cold night. Our soups arrived lukewarm! Chicken soup should be hot! We asked the Bus boy to bring it back to the kitchen and get it hot. The grilled octopus is always good and perfectly made. So, we’re the butternut squash fritters.

Then, my friend ordered the seared tuna for his entree. When it arrived, it barely looked seared & the inside while yes it’s supposed to be on the raw side, the tuna just seemed off. It looked like it was heated in the microwave rather than a seared.

We told our server all about it. She comped us on our scoop of homemade salted caramel ice cream. While the gesture was nice, I would be really sad if my trusty go to place is going downhill after all these years.

I frequently enjoy dinner at FARMiCiA but tonight was a special evening out with a dear friend from high school who I haven’t seen in many years. I chose this venue specifically because I knew we could count on a delicious meal in an environment conducive to having a long “catch-up” conversation.

Service was friendly and professional. Atmosphere was comfortable. Party of 2 for lunch during weekday - the person I was with loved her meal (Kale salad with grilled chicken). I got the eggplant cannelloni. The eggplant was horrible. Everything else was perfect. If the eggplant had been good, I would have went 5-star all the way. But skin was on, it was tough (couldn't cut it with my fork) and the taste was bad. So, I would recommend - definitely go to this restaurant - but don't order the eggplant cannelloni dish!

My two young adult children and I decided to try Farmica. We're so glad we did. The food was excellent. We shared a brie appetizer that was served with a crusty bread and pesto. I had grilled swordfish. We'll be back. We didn't even realize that we were going during happy hour so our drinks were half price.

We went there on New Years Eve after the early fireworks. Service was great and atmosphere was nice. Food was good. I wish they had more vegeterian options. Salads and appetizers were delish.
Service and waiter was excellent.
We were early for our reservation, but were able to be seated. Was a nice surprise on such a chilly cold night. Mixed crowd, since it was early. Have been there a few times when in the city.

The food was excellent, but our waiter was snarky! . Ordered the steak which was one of the toughest I ever had..sent it back and chose the chicken- good except that I was hankering for steak. Ordered the chicken, as here was nothing else I ate on the menu. After we were almost done eating I noticed other people got a printed sheet with specials, which we had not received. Waiter got nasty when I asked how come I wasn't given those options when I had to order something else. He made a really snarky comment like" you would not have wanted to order anything from the specials anyway- I mean 3 scallops for $26"- and then said he would send over the manager, which he did. Manager was vey apologetic, but did not offer us any compensation at that point. They took $10.00 off the bill, I guess for the trouble. Should have comped my chicken but it was not worth making a stink about. We liked everything we ate so I guess we would eat there again when in the area.

I was so excited to finally try Farmicia because of their vegetarian options and I was not disappointed. Their menu offers a wide variety with plant and meat based dishes. Their happy hour menu is half off all drinks, which is amazing. Will definitely be back!

Over the past year we have noticed a steady decline in the overall value and quality of the food. On our recent visit: service was lacking with extended wait times with minimal patrons, a special that was overly greasy, and an appetizer that came after our mains. A once neighborhood gem in our eyes is quickly becoming our last option for a meal out.

Nice place, very nice service, was not impressed by the food. Brussels sprouts carbonara were good, rest was just okay (bread, butternut squash soup, Caesar salad, sweet potato gnocchi) Probably won’t be back, too many other places to try in the city.

Great brunch options and excellent service at the table. The hostess was definitely not having the best day. We were barely acknowledged, certainly not welcomed and she just pointed to our table. This is not something I expect from one of the more popular restaurants in the city.

This was a really nice gem to find for a Sunday brunch. I would recommend making reservations because it was packed! However, our services was fairly quick and our server was super sweet. Some of the tables are extremely close together, which really isn't a problem depending on who you are near (We happened to be next to a group who were a little rude about sharing a bench but it was okay). All in all, I will TOTALLY go again. The food was delicious and the drinks were new and yummy. I'm actually planning on going back really soon. A cute cute CUTE little place in Olde City :)
