Located in Philadelphia’s historic Old City, FARMiCiA is a quiet place to get something good to eat; serving lunch, an afternoon meal, a relaxed dinner & even brunch on the weekends. While FARMiCiA boasts a full bar, parties under 8 guests are also allowed to BYO Wine to pair with our farm fresh fare.
Great service, music and food. Great spot for Sunday brunch. We typically get a massage at Terme Di Aroma at 32 N 3rd street and go to Farmacia for brunch.
Farmicia never disappoints. It is a great gathering place for my family with Philly being in the center of several of us within driving distance. The service is friendly, efficient and accommodating. This visit was for Sunday brunch which offers a great variety for the family. Food is consistently outstanding. Once again, always a go-to for my family and extended family.
I haven’t been here for a while, but I always loved it. Not tonight though. Our waitress was slightly surly and disappeared a lot. My Cesar salad was lettuce with croutons (blah). I love that they cater to vegetarians with at least 4 entree selection, but my eggplant cannelloni was tasteless with two small cannelloni over two cups of white beans (who would want to eat that many beans????). My friends dinners looked no better, but they did have mushroom soup as appetizer and raved (yea!). Every restaurant runs its course, I’d say my love for FARMiCiA is over. Au revoir
Two of our dinners had to go back because they weren’t cooked properly. Food was on the bland side, but drinks were amazing and the ambience was great. I would give it one more try and something other than rare fish.
What a great experience. We just so happened to be in Philadelphia and needed a place for brunch. With a bit of googling, this is where we ended up. It was wonderful.
Food was outstanding. Our waiter was perfection. Do not live in PA but would def return to FARMiCia when in PA again.
I loved the attention to detail. The waiters knew who ordered what item and brought it directly to them, rather than the typical experience in other restaurants where they bring the item to the table and then awkwardly ask who ordered the item. The person who take care of us was just fantastic. Just enough attention paid without too much of it which made the whole dinner so enjoyable. I also liked the pacing of the attention paid to us: taking our order, bringing the bread, appetizers, main course, dessert. It was professionally done and we really appreciated it. Again, this is not a common experience even in other higher end restaurants, not just in Philly but several other cities in the US. Oh, and the food was delicious!
The vegetarian choices were excellent and the food was delicious. Caballo was a superb waiter who offered great suggestions. The atmosphere was happy and bustling. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful lunch. Great service and great bartender.
Food is always delicious,
I have never been to Farmicia and really enjoyed it! It has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff, and delicious food. Definitely will go back and would love to try it for dinner. Good find!
Lively, upscale spot with stylish decor! Noise level made it tough to converse.
We went for brunch on 4/6 and were delighted to be informed that drinks (wine, beer and cocktails) were half priced during brunch. We ordered the Hacienda Eggs and also the Quesadilla both were delicious and portion sizes were plenty. We asked for window seating and our request was fulfilled which was great! Server was pleasant, hostess was pleasant and overall the crowd was lively and just a real cool restaurant spot. We are already talking about our next stop back, this time for dinner! Thank you to the accommodating staff!
We had good food. My party of three love the half off drinks!
Great food, excellent service, and reasonably priced
Very disappointed. I have eaten at Farmicia in the past and this is the first time that the food was not good. I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken. The salad was suspose to have romanine lettuce. I did not see one piece of green lettuce. My salad was full of the stalk. It looked like the chef cut off the entire stalk and threw it in my salad. I l ate the chicken but left the so called romaine lettuce in my bowl. I mentioned it to the weight staff but she said "oh okay" that was it. I also mentioned it to the hostess on my way out who asked me if I wanted anything else. Of course it was too late at that point, but at least she responded better than the weight staff.
Positively the most delicious vegetarian plate I have ever had the joy of eating at a nice restaurant. The food was fresh, creative, delicious, and light. We loved the attention to detail by our server, from the moment we sat down.
Took great care to meet needs if of a celiac and a vegan guest
This was my first brunch. Crowded, loud, food was served before beverages, some food not as described. This had been a top fav place, but the last few times have been only average
Noisy atmosphere. Service good. Salad dressings lacked definitive taste. Food portions were disappointing. Overall value below average. Would question a return visit.
Always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and delicious offerings. Brunch choices are varied. Especially enjoy the fresh omelets, cocktails and delicious coffee.
I had the duck breast and it wasn’t made as it should be made! Any chef knows to crisp the skin of a duck breast or it as rubber! I told the waitress and hopefully she has pass the message along!
First time having dinner at FarmiCia. Would definitely go again! Food was delicious and drinks were creative.
Exceptionally delicious meal. Had the pork chop which was perfectly cooked and extremely yummy! Had to take 1/2 home it was so huge! Great atmosphere and service too! I’d eat there again in a hot minute!
Great service. Great food. Seated on time. Great Happy Hour for brunch
I enjoyed my meal, although I thought that the prices were a bit high for the portion sizes. I think their brunch drink specials are great, and they had so many great cocktail options. My least favorite part of the experience was our waiter. He was attentive, but got a bit passive aggressive towards the end trying to force us away from our table. I was trying to enjoy brunch with a friend who was visiting from out of town and didn't appreciate him repeatedly coming back to the table to clear things off the table, asking me if I wanted a box before I was done eating, and bringing us a check before asking if we wanted anything else. I would probably only go back for the drink specials.
Great food and amazing waiter
Farmicia used to be really good but my visit on 23mar2019 was bad. Food was meh, service was terrible. My party waited over 30 minutes between soup and main dish. During that time the servers avoided us and wouldn’t serve us bread. I won’t ever go again.
Service was just okay - we sat at the table for a fairly long time before being approached by the waiter and were offered bread when we were well into our entrees. Food was pretty good but didn't blow us away. That said, thank you for having vegan options!!!
Farmicia is a great brunch place! I enjoy the fact that it’s BYOB and doesn’t have a corking fee. They also have a great menu and good atmosphere. The only downside is that I’ve had multiple difficulties with reservations. We made reservations through open table and then had to call to adjust either the number of people or the time. Farmicia claimed they didn’t know about or record the change which caused us to wait 45 minutes for a table. When we finally sat down the waiter told us we only had 30 minutes to order food and appeared frustrated (which wasn’t our fault). Overall, we had a good time and the food was great. I just wish they were a little more organized and/or accommodating especially when the issues were on their end.
Met a friend for brunch. Everything looks fantastic on the menu. Been here multiple times before. Ordered organic two eggs any style with bacon and a side of fruit. I confirmed with the waiter that I most definitely want the potatoes even though I’m getting a side of fruit. They forgot the potatoes, but they brought them out very quickly. Friend loved the bacon and cheese omelette she ordered.
It was great!
Overall unremarkable lunch...above average ingredients; average selection and smaller than average sized salad and sandwiches. Parking was a PIA- there is little on street and the 2 parking lots(1 next door) were full- but then the restaurant can’t control that.
Fantastic food. Mediocre service. Very good value
Outstanding brunch. Shrimp and grits I have had since moving from Charleston. Cocktails are really well made and at 50%off between 11 and 2 a must.
Waiter was unaware he had a table wait 15-20 before order was taken.
Great bad fresh brunch food, not bottomless but the cocktails are half off until 2 pm. Our waiter was very attentive and our food came out rather quickly.
Great food, great location, fairly priced. Server seemed very over it from the beginning, which was a bit off putting, but it was St. Patricks Day so I can imagine people are a little extra. He was also not very attentive, compared to previous times we've been here. Wish brunch started at opening rather than 11:00.
Everything was great! Dessert especially, oh my!
Only criticism would be that we needed round II of break, lol. Because it was so good!
Great place to gather with friends. Wish I knew it was a BYOB before I went but the Espresso Martinis were absolutely delicious!
