Excellent all around

Fantastic brunch experience from beginning to end. Our server was lovely and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. Not a thing I would change. We will be back.

Next level food, staff, service and experience AS ALWAYS!

The mixed green salad that all of us had, had no taste, needed to ask for more dressing, I expected a better culinary experience.
Also, when I go for brunch I expect to have more choice then a drip coffee

Service was friendly and welcoming, it seemed as if they were stretched a little thin.

The food was ok - nothing to say WOW and makes me want to go back. The coffee was warm instead of hot and the same with the food we ordered.

After two good prior experiences here, yesterday's brunch was a huge disappointment. We had a reservation but still had to wait (they did offer us beverages while we stood at the entrance). My daughter ordered a burger and after a few bites realized it was terribly undercooked (AKA: RAW). They did remove it from our bill but we left worried about our daughter's health. We will not be returning!

Went with family for brunch. There were 10 of us and the service was friendly and quick even though we were a large table and it was a busy Sunday afternoon. AMAZING service and TASTY food. Love, loved the ambiance. Will definitely be coming back!

Trendy + overly hipsterish. Food was okay, but not compelling to come back. Very cold draft + loud.

The food was OK. For the price would recommend other restaurants. Food was fresh. A little bland.

Great food and personal service. Sunday nights are great as there are different specials every hour. A bit pricey even with the half price offers.

Love this place! The food is fantastic. Cool riff on traditional brunch favourites., like Eggs Benedict which was amazing. The service is casual but waitstaff are very attentive. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful and delicious combinations. Something for everyone - the pancakes and bacon were gobbled up by the kiddo and I had egg in a nest of squash to die for. Super fun ambience, great brunch soundtrack and super friendly people.

Food was amazing and atmosphere super cozy and funky. We came all the way from Barrie and it was well worth the trip!! We highly recommend the Farmhouse.

I took my mom here for a birthday brunch and it was wonderful. Delicious egg benny and mimosas. Eclectic vibe was fun and casual. Service was good.

Best burger in town and awesome staff.

I made a reservation for 14 people on OpenTable. We had to change the reservation several times because of people bailing out, and then confirming again. I was able to text the restaurant and change the reservation so easily. They had everything set up for us when we got there, and even allowed us to come 20 mins early.

I wanted to try this place due to the fresh local ingredients. The food was fantastic. I had the pork belly pasta, and my boyfriend had the burger and fries. I tried some of the burger, fries with homemade mayo and ketchup. Everything was so tasty.

Their menu changes all of the time, so it was written on a chalkboard. It was small, so if you have some picky eaters in the group it may not be the best place to go with. That being said, I was with some picky eaters, and they were all able to find something on the menu to eat (i.e. the burger).

The service was a bit slow, however, we did have a large group. Some of the smaller parties that came in after our group had their orders taken first, and recieved their food before us, but I would have thought you'd want to get the bigger group out of there quickly. I didn't mind it that much, however, b/c we were chatting and catching up. I am just voicing the opinion of some people in my group. Although some people said it was slow, it was very friendly.

We had a couple of young children with us. The staff were accomodating, having a high-chair set up for us, and modified a couple of the menu items for us.

I had the pasta and a glass of wine (they have a large selection of reds, whites and craft beers written on the chalk boards), and with tax and tip it was just under $50.

My boyfriend said that he was chatting with someone who worked there, and they actually lower the prices of the food as the night goes on so that there's no waste. I loved that!

Generally speaking, this is the most undervalued restaurant in the city.

I really like this place as a neighbourhood restaurant. The food is good and the service friendly but every time we go they are out of about half the beers listed on the chalkboard. It's like a running joke at this point. I am not sure why they don't just take it off the blackboard. Other than that it's a great place with a lovely atmosphere.

The food was exquisite.The service was gracious, professional, and friendly. This was perhaps the best food we have ever had for brunch.

First time. Fun brunch, delicious food and awesome service. The only tea option was orange pekoe, but the server supplied us with hot water without missing a beat.

Friendly and accommodating wait-staff, a first class experience from the moment of stepping inside from a fairly nondescript city corner in Toronto's emerging west-end enclave. The action in the kitchen, a playful choreography of skill and artistry by a non-pretentious culinary team, sets the backdrop for the evening. A carnivore's dream, you will also find at least two offerings of fish, prepped to perfection. The counterpoint of a relaxed (but professional) presentation and a perfectly timed, creative and boldly flavoured dish is a hit. Come in jeans and plaid or silk and suit jacket, either way you'll feel right at home and more than well-sated after an evening with the gang. Thanks...looking forward to next evening together..!

We had a larger party for brunch (6) and so were seated at room at back. I don’t think the overall experience would have been as enjoyable in front as it’s much more diner feel- quite crowded and loud. It was lovely to have that back space.
The service was friendly and efficient, the food and menu were OUTSTANDING. Great value- large portions and everyone in the party loved their food. We are brunch people and this and BeechTree in east end the top two in city, imho.

Great little restaurant with fantastic food. Friendly service. The only opportunity for improvement would be to have more of the posted wines / drinks available. Seems they had run out of a few of their listed items.

It was my first time there. We were a group of 6 people for brunch. The service was fabulous. They accommodated special requests and the food was delicious, fresh and local. I will definitely be going back for dinner.

Food is quite good. Plowman's Platter was delicious top to bottom. Our venison was unfortunately over cooked. Service was a bit spotty as they were training someone. Strangely, the trainee was more attentive and pleasant than the veteran. And a very loud dining room. Generally, a positive experience, just a couple of missteps.

The food quality, preparation and presentation were all 5 star. Comfortable cosy atmosphere

We've been wanting to try Farmhouse Tavern for a few years and finally made it there. The food was amazing, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and we LOVED that the music was just the right level that we could have good conversation and appreciate the tunes. Thanks and we'll be back!
