Farmer's Table Ratings and Reviews
I made a reservation and when I got to the door I had to get a beeper anyways and I think it took about 20/25 minutes. To sit down so we went to the bar we had a drink they were excellent bartender was friendly when we were seated and the waitress came over we weren’t able to hear everything she was saying because it was so loud in the restaurant our food came out very quickly and it was all very good an excellent meal! We will be back again.
We were seated in the Music Room and treated to some really good Spanish guitar. The food was excellent (amazing pork chops, if you dare - as we did - to order them medium rare, and the salmon and snapper were delicious, as were the sides). Our server, Brandon, was attentive without hovering and we felt welcome and comfortable thoughout.
Very disappointing. After taking our order, we never saw our waiter until we tracked him down to get the check. The $50 bottle of wine was not chilled enough for a white wine. After we ordered the food it was brought to our table in about five minutes, which let us to believe it was pre-cooked. Not cooked to order. The quality of the food was marginal. Nothing special.
I waited 4 years to get here and was totally underwhelmed. I have no clue why PB Illustrated gives it such good reviews year after year. We had the Buddha bowl, it was a large portion which we shared and it was tasteless. We needed to ask for salt and pepper. The dessert "opera" cake tasted so sweet and similar to a cheap packaged Entenmenns cake I used to eat as a kid in college. Three people shared it and left it over, not worth the calories. The vegetable stew was more like a soup.
Our server was sweet and helpful, but do not remember her name. The cucumber drink was very good and the sangria was also good. Not worth the ride from PB. I will stick with Buccan and Imoto for sure.
Server was excellent but all other service staff were abrupt and sour-faced. We were seated at the most lovely table and expressed our gratitude only to be told five minutes later we cannot sit there and we had to move. The new location was uncomfortably close to the lounge singer, who was not entertaining at all and very loud.
If not for the very attentive and friendly server, the evening would have been a total write off. The food was mediocre.
Excellent food. Ate there twice within one week. The pork chop is juicy and tender. The Buddah bowl is a giant bowl of delicious broth and vegetables and whatever protein you choose. I chose the shrimp and they were delicious. You also can't go wrong with the apple crisp or brownie sundae for dessert.
I have been here before and liked it enough to come back for more! I met a friend there for dinner and from the time we placed our order until the food arrived it was literally about 5 mins. We were hungry, so it was good. However, once we finished, we felt rushed to leave. Our server did not rush us at all, told us we could stay all night. However, the restaurant was on a wait, and we wanted to be fair to our server to turn over the table. We had coffee so we had a little longer.
Otherwise, food was fresh and delicious!
While the menu is interesting, the food good and served quickly, the noise level inside is way too much, unable to even hear the specials explanation and hard to converse with companion(s). I would think twice about going back there again unless I stay outside.
Service was horrible and manager did not give a satisfactory response to us when we told him what happened and told us "sorry". Food is good but it isn't worth it when it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to come out and our waitress didn't even put our order in until 1 hour after our appetizer came out.
We went on a week night with another couple. The waitress was on top of us from the start to order. Didn't have time to sip a drink when the appetizer arrived. As soon as we took the last bite the entree was delivered. When we finished the check was immediately brought to the table. 1 minute later she was back asking if we were all set. We felt shoved out. We were there for one hour. We felt like we had gone to a diner. Definitely not a place to dine or spend a leisure evening. Tried to call to talk to a manager when left but can't get a person on the phone
I’ve been dining at FT since they opened, in fact, in their predecessor Restaurant on Yamato. Their food is healthy, creative, well prepared, and nice sized portions. Nothing is inexpensive, which is also worth noting. I guess it’s less pricey than many other restaurants in Boca Raton, though.
I’ve got two ongoing concerns about service and ambience. The kitchen is fast. I mean, real fast. The servers have a tendency to rush you by asking for the entire order at the same time. If you did order a starter or appetizer and entree, and a glass of wine, you could be finished in 30 minutes or less. Knowing that, we put in our order for wine, and request that I’ll signal when ready to order the appetizer. Once appetizer is ordered, it arrives at your table in less than 5 minutes. For us, I’d like to have a breather between the app and the glass of wine before placing the order for entree and another glass of wine. Once the entree is ordered, it too arrives at the table in 4 minutes. While some may consider this highly efficient, I consider it rushed. I guess that’s why this is not a fine dining establishment.
And the noise level is unbearable. You can’t hear your dining partner or others at the table without shouting. Everyone who is talking is shouting. Very high ceilings ooor acoustics, background music, and there is a constant roar of noise. Do I return? Yes, but only when I’m psyched to deal with noise. And I always control the flow of food delivery or else I feel really rushed to flip that table for the next group.
Oh, lest I forget, their desserts are delicious and warm apple crisp is my favorite. I haven’t mentioned anything about local produce, vegan, paleo, organic etc food, as that is a given in the farm to table environment.
Dine here! You will NOT be disappointed. The food, service, staff, atmosphere are spectacular. They have found the golden key to unlocking a true dining experience in my opinion. The food is high quality, the staff are high quality, the service is high quality, and the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming! Yet the cost is so very fair. Impress your friends and family with an experience they wont forget. This visit I selected the Buddha Bowl, massive proportion of the finest FRESH FRESH FRESH veggies and my sweet goodness amazingly soft moist full-flavored chicken as chicken should taste, not your neighborhood grocers steroid chicken. Simply put, AMAZING!!! Thank you for reading my experience.
