Farm Stand is a casual, contemporary American restaurant. It has a strong commitment to serving non-GMO, organic, natural, sustainable food that is sourced from local farmers. Its dining room is loft-styled, giving it a wide open feel. There’s also an outdoor patio that is separated from the indoor dining area by a single glass window. The décor inside Farm Stand mostly consists of contemporary styled photos of fruits and vegetables.
Begin your meal by choosing from a variety of small plates like rustic hummus dip with warm pita bread, roasted eggplant and goat cheese and country French boule with organic honey butter. The Mediterranean salad is another popular starter. For your main course, try a Farm Stand house special entrée. Options include the 100% grass-fed lamb burger, BBQ wagyu beef bone-in short ribs and lemon turmeric chicken breast served with sweet and sour Michigan chutney.
Farm Stand, in El Segundo, is a casual restaurant with some adventurous cuisine and some well prepared staples. The fillet mignon arrives perfectly cooked. Accompanying sides are equally notable. Fries are thin and crispy but not overdone. Roasted eggplant stew with short ribs mixes flavors both subtle and strong. The portions are well sized without being overpowering. This is a great place for a relaxed but memorable meal.
Pumpkin Ravioli is to die for!
I don't understand why Farm Stand does have a group of people waiting outside to eat! The food is superb and it's all organic and healthy. Very unique items as well, like a pomegranate stew! And I love their stuffed mushrooms. They have a covered patio area, that's fairly separate from the restaurant, so it'd be good for birthdays/large group things.
Nice local place, organic/vegan wine list and lot's of vegetarian options. Took a while for me to be seated and take my drink order but after that service was good. Enjoyed the restaurant quite a bit.
This restaurant has a nice easy going atmosphere with delicious natural, local ingredients.
The restaurant is open until 9 PM - why at 6 PM were they out of several appetizer selections and two main entree selections? Pleasant service, but she was at our table more often to tell us sorry but _____ . I've had lunches here and it was lovely, not so much for dinner.
My wife and I went to Farm Stand for New Year’s Eve dinner again this year. The Salmon entrée with roasted vegetables was to die for. The Lasagna was surprisingly light. We could not pass up on the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Chrissy was helpful in describing the dishes and the ample beer selection. Since we visit the area every December, we plan to return again on December 31, 2016!
Everything we had was fresh and tasty! I had the Mahi Mahi and it was delicious with a delicate cream caper sauce. The atmosphere is nice and intimate too.
Not really a true farm to table concept. My burger was cold, most likely cooked well before I arrived, and had no flavor.
Would not return
From start to finish. Not our first time here, and not our last.
The food is delicious! They are very allergy friendly! I am allergic to a lot of foods and they are very accommodating. The food is tasty and there is something for vegans, carnivores, gluten free and other allergy sufferers.
Loved this little spot! I took my girlfriend for a semi-romantic brunch. The mimosas are moderately priced but not sure what sort of OJ they were using....tasted like Tang or Sunny D. Being from the brunch capital of the world, Charleston, SC,that was sort of disappointing. However, the food was delicious and I will certainly go back perhaps a little later to see if it picks up. The waitress was decent but seemed to be more interested in watching a movie on her ipad than actually doing her job.
Farm stand is truly a find in ️el Segundo. If you're into organic and fresh meals this would be a great place to dine. Quiet and friendly, bright and cheery with a menu for everyone, including vegetarians. Instead of bread they bring out veggies and ranch to start. Loved it.
It was just okay. The filet was not cooked correctly and tasted bland. On a positive note, the corkage fee was only $10 and the menu is clearly marked for gluten free / vegan.
I haven't been to Farm Stand in a couple of years ~ while the service was lovely, the food was just ok. I remember loving it, but last night the cuisine was simply not memorable.
We were all pleasantly surprised at how yummy our food was during our recent visit to Farm Stand. The brunch menu is very limited (although the entire lunch menu is also available), with only a few items to choose from, so we were a bit nervous.
I felt like there was nothing that jumped out at me, but let's face it, it was Father's Day and we were there so hubby could try the beef short rib benedict. He loved it! I ended up going out on a limb and ordering the Khachapuri, sweet & savory style. OMG - that was some amazing food! So glad I ventured onto that limb.
The kids also enjoyed their french toast and waffles, ordered off the brunch menu, not the kids' menu.
I would have been a bit happier with more variety on their brunch menu because if we went there again for brunch we'd only have two other thing to try if we wanted something savory.
They were not busy, and even could have accommodated walk ins, however the staff seemed overwhelmed and they had ran out of things.
I also would have loved better coffee. When I asked my server for iced coffee he was very confused but was finally able to do it; it was just ok.
The Farm Stand is a favorite in our family. It is a fusion of middle eastern and California cuisines. We are a mixture of meat-lovers and vegetarians and everybody goes away happy. I've tried a number of items on the menu, and all have been good. However, I'm especially partial to the Walnut Pomegranate stew, which can be served with chicken, lamb, or vegetarian. The service is always friendly, and is just the right amount of solicitous without being overbearing. By the way, try the "From farm to you soup." It reminds me of Persian Ash Reshteh soup, and is full of beans, lentils, and herbs/spices. A bowl makes a meal.
Have eaten here before a few times and was very satisfied. This time not so much. Our vegetarian diners entree was both burnt and cold at the same time. Veg meatballs were obviously frozen, which is fine, but should have been reheated correctly. They were literally black on the outside and cold inside. Sauce also looked dry, like it had sat out under a heat lamp waiting for the burned "meatballs". Sent the whole plate back and ordered a substitute. He was given a free dessert, and first dish was comp'd. Other food was just OK. Service was at best average, and included spilling chopped onions in one diners lap when removing the appetizer plate. I will not return.
Service was awful. All of our food came at different times and was cold. took 2 hours for brunch when maybe should've taken an hour. Disappointed.
their hearts are in the right place. farm table promotes local grown, organic and non-gmo. who wouldn't want that?
unfortunately, the space can be upgraded in a lot of ways. they can benefit from some improvement in their layout. perhaps they are limited by the space that they have.
as far as the food, it was just OKAY. we've all been to TONS of places that are just OK. nothing memorable or outstanding.
