About Farm Stand
Farm Stand is a casual, contemporary American restaurant. It has a strong commitment to serving non-GMO, organic, natural, sustainable food that is sourced from local farmers. Its dining room is loft-styled, giving it a wide open feel. There’s also an outdoor patio that is separated from the indoor dining area by a single glass window. The décor inside Farm Stand mostly consists of contemporary styled photos of fruits and vegetables.
Begin your meal by choosing from a variety of small plates like rustic hummus dip with warm pita bread, roasted eggplant and goat cheese and country French boule with organic honey butter. The Mediterranean salad is another popular starter. For your main course, try a Farm Stand house special entrée. Options include the 100% grass-fed lamb burger, BBQ wagyu beef bone-in short ribs and lemon turmeric chicken breast served with sweet and sour Michigan chutney.

Farm Stand, in El Segundo, is a casual restaurant with some adventurous cuisine and some well prepared staples. The fillet mignon arrives perfectly cooked. Accompanying sides are equally notable. Fries are thin and crispy but not overdone. Roasted eggplant stew with short ribs mixes flavors both subtle and strong. The portions are well sized without being overpowering. This is a great place for a relaxed but memorable meal.
I don't understand why Farm Stand does have a group of people waiting outside to eat! The food is superb and it's all organic and healthy. Very unique items as well, like a pomegranate stew! And I love their stuffed mushrooms. They have a covered patio area, that's fairly separate from the restaurant, so it'd be good for birthdays/large group things.
The restaurant is open until 9 PM - why at 6 PM were they out of several appetizer selections and two main entree selections? Pleasant service, but she was at our table more often to tell us sorry but _____ . I've had lunches here and it was lovely, not so much for dinner.
My wife and I went to Farm Stand for New Year’s Eve dinner again this year. The Salmon entrée with roasted vegetables was to die for. The Lasagna was surprisingly light. We could not pass up on the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Chrissy was helpful in describing the dishes and the ample beer selection. Since we visit the area every December, we plan to return again on December 31, 2016!
Loved this little spot! I took my girlfriend for a semi-romantic brunch. The mimosas are moderately priced but not sure what sort of OJ they were using....tasted like Tang or Sunny D. Being from the brunch capital of the world, Charleston, SC,that was sort of disappointing. However, the food was delicious and I will certainly go back perhaps a little later to see if it picks up. The waitress was decent but seemed to be more interested in watching a movie on her ipad than actually doing her job.
Farm stand is truly a find in ️el Segundo. If you're into organic and fresh meals this would be a great place to dine. Quiet and friendly, bright and cheery with a menu for everyone, including vegetarians. Instead of bread they bring out veggies and ranch to start. Loved it.
We were all pleasantly surprised at how yummy our food was during our recent visit to Farm Stand. The brunch menu is very limited (although the entire lunch menu is also available), with only a few items to choose from, so we were a bit nervous.
I felt like there was nothing that jumped out at me, but let's face it, it was Father's Day and we were there so hubby could try the beef short rib benedict. He loved it! I ended up going out on a limb and ordering the Khachapuri, sweet & savory style. OMG - that was some amazing food! So glad I ventured onto that limb.
The kids also enjoyed their french toast and waffles, ordered off the brunch menu, not the kids' menu.
I would have been a bit happier with more variety on their brunch menu because if we went there again for brunch we'd only have two other thing to try if we wanted something savory.
They were not busy, and even could have accommodated walk ins, however the staff seemed overwhelmed and they had ran out of things.
I also would have loved better coffee. When I asked my server for iced coffee he was very confused but was finally able to do it; it was just ok.
The Farm Stand is a favorite in our family. It is a fusion of middle eastern and California cuisines. We are a mixture of meat-lovers and vegetarians and everybody goes away happy. I've tried a number of items on the menu, and all have been good. However, I'm especially partial to the Walnut Pomegranate stew, which can be served with chicken, lamb, or vegetarian. The service is always friendly, and is just the right amount of solicitous without being overbearing. By the way, try the "From farm to you soup." It reminds me of Persian Ash Reshteh soup, and is full of beans, lentils, and herbs/spices. A bowl makes a meal.
Have eaten here before a few times and was very satisfied. This time not so much. Our vegetarian diners entree was both burnt and cold at the same time. Veg meatballs were obviously frozen, which is fine, but should have been reheated correctly. They were literally black on the outside and cold inside. Sauce also looked dry, like it had sat out under a heat lamp waiting for the burned "meatballs". Sent the whole plate back and ordered a substitute. He was given a free dessert, and first dish was comp'd. Other food was just OK. Service was at best average, and included spilling chopped onions in one diners lap when removing the appetizer plate. I will not return.
their hearts are in the right place. farm table promotes local grown, organic and non-gmo. who wouldn't want that?
unfortunately, the space can be upgraded in a lot of ways. they can benefit from some improvement in their layout. perhaps they are limited by the space that they have.
as far as the food, it was just OKAY. we've all been to TONS of places that are just OK. nothing memorable or outstanding.
Farm Stand recently opened for Sunday brunch. This was our first visit for brunch and we were not disappointed. The sour cherry mimosas are delicious. The brunch offerings were varied and all very good. It's nice that the regular lunch menu is also available. Service was top notch.
Their link to Open Table was not working so we did not have a reservation even though Open Table said we did. That said they did seat us. The food was very good but the service was slow/mixed and the place was a bit noisy. The pom-lamb stew was hearty and tasty.
everything we ordered was delicious. look forward to going back and trying the other items on the menu + trying the organic wines. wish more restaurants were as globally conscience as farm stand and they're showing it can be done with out high prices. thanks farm stand! i will definitely be telling all my friends and family how great you are...
Hidden gem offering eclectic dishes with a Mediterranean touch, plus a vegetarian & vegan menu.
Great wine list, very good food and ambiance. Definitely health conscious - but without sacrificing the taste. They use organic, NON-GMO products! It's a bit pricey (lunch with glass of wine will set you at $30 - and that with lesser priced food item). AMAZING Ginger Lemonade!
Started off with no one greeting us at the front. No one cared that I had a reservation with opentable. Someone barely sat us down at the closest table and handed us some menus and left.
Nobody came back until we had to let them know that we had a plane to catch. The "specialty" lemonades were too sweet for all of us. We ordered the special for Sunday which was the chicken meatballs with linguine. It was difficult to taste the pasta and the meatballs under all the salty sauce. A waitress did not come back to ask about our meal nor offer anything else and seemed to have no interest in whether we enjoyed our meal or not. It would have been nicer to go to a fast food place for all the attention and service we received. This was very disappointing since the menu had some exciting items on it and they proclaimed that they were serving non-GMO items, and other "farm fresh" things. Too bad the presentation and execution seemed to be lacking that night.
Absolutely the best restaurant meal I've eaten in the last 12 months. Three vegetarians and one omnivore in our party -- we ALL loved it. Varied flavors, unusual tastes, lotsa choices, wow. Our waitress, seeing which way our ordering was headed, gave us recommendations for switching it up and rounding it out -- and every one of her picks was delicious. The serving sizes are more than ample yet we took home very few leftovers -- that's how good it was.
The wine by the glass was old (Chardonnay), the food was reheated, and not hot, the deserts were still frozen when served, the service was very slow given the restaurant was 80% empty. On top of all that the host seated another set of diners right next to us in and empty room!!!
I have tried this restaurant 3 times now and each time I left very, very disappointed. The owners of this restaurant own several other restaurants in the South Bay. I have dined at all the others and always been very pleased.
I would not dine here again if it was free!
We rea;;y enjoyed the food here. There are fresh, quality ingredients in their dishes and you can taste the difference. We had the Farm Stand Salmon Salad, Mediterranean Salad and Wangyu Grass Fed Beef Burger, and all three dishes were delicious. There are Non-GMO, Vegan, Vegetarian opitons available for those with dietary considerations. The wait staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere.
We enjoyed a pleasant New Year’s Eve dinner at Farm Stand. The dishes are creative, reasonably priced, and well-prepared. A medley of perfectly cooked roasted vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, and carrots accompanied my salmon entrée. If you are into sustainable, sustainable, and local cuisine, Farm Stand is worth the visit!
First, the food was okay. Four of us had the Lasagne which was good, but it came with a mound of salad way out of proportion to the lasagne and with no dressing. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was excellent, but some bread to dip into the delicious sauce would have been nice. The Crostini was good. Everyone enjoyed their desserts (Cheesecake, Flour-less Chocolate Cake, Flan) except for the Sorbet which more icy than sorbet.
My major complaint was the magician. Although we request he not visit our table we still had to listen to him as he entertained the nearby tables. This is the sort of addition you find at a "kids" restaurant and that was not what any of us were expecting at "The Farm Stand."
