FARM at Carneros Ratings and Reviews
Well...as I sit here at the table, still waiting for our food an hour and 45 minutes after ordering...we are not impressed. Took an hour and 10 minutes just to get a slice of bread. Waiter did not seem to know what he was doing. Very unfortunate as the place is beautiful.
Finally got our meals 2 hours after arrival. Parties around us came in and were served and out before we were. Food was mixed. Duck was still raw and sent back, took forever and didn't end up eating it.
Our first time dining at FARM during a visit to Napa for the weekend and it will not be our last. Our servers Crystal and Raymond were so attentive and personable, and manager Dave was very accommodating when we showed up an hour late for our reservation due to a timing mistake on our part. We shared the Burrata and Risotto dishes (both delicious and beautifully presented), and my husband had the 26 oz Porterhouse while I had the diver scallops. Everything was fresh, well prepared and absolutely delicious. Our server asked us if we were in a hurry or if it was ok for her to time our dishes, and we opted for letting her pace our meal. So for those who have read comments about the service being slow, we found the timing to be perfect for allowing us to enjoy our evening in the outdoor heated dining area with wonderful service and food. Our entire experience was about 2.5 hours which included free drinks in the bar/lounge area while the manager found a table for us after we were extremely late for our reservation. Class act and a great night.
Went there for Sunday brunch and it was quite disappointing. You pay $45 per person and end up with the food that you don't really want to eat - it's a family share of 4 dishes per table regardless how many people there are in your party. The food was average quality.
Lovely service and a satisfying expwrience overall. We made a point to arrive early and enjoy cocktails at the pretty fire pits. Patio seating was warm thanks to overhead heaters. Knowledgeable nice server and busperson. A perfect fall evening with my very special husband.
Service was extremely slow!!!!!! It took 1 hour to get our salads and two hours to get dinner. We were a party of 4 and ordered nothing special . Food and cocktails were very good but would not return due to how long it took for dinner. Server was not attentive in updating us on what was going on. She didn't even come back to take additional cocktail orders during our long wait.
Manager did sort of apologize and comped our dinner.
Overall the experience was exhausting.
This restaurant is fantastic! The Carneros Resort is lovely and Farm is right next to the front desk and sits in a remodeled farm house. The adult beverages were well balanced and tasted as described on the menu. We were encouraged to try 4 different entrees and share them so we did and they were all tasty. The staff is wonderful.
Do yourself a a favor get to FARM as soon as possible!
We found the service slow and unattentive. Seems like the waitress was overwhelmed by multiple seatings and that the staff was not sufficient to support the number of people who showed up on a Friday night.
The salmon came out under cooked and cold. And there was salt on the salad, which seemed very strange. The risotto was also very salty and not worthy of a restaurant of this location and reputation. The staff did respond once we complained but we shouldn’t have had to complain to multiple times in order to get satisfaction.
Service and food was terrible. Returned in Sept 2017 after having most elegant superb meal same time year before. Menu changed. All staff were unorganized and frantic. Food was poor. Service was worse. Couldn't even finish my meal was so bad. Something changed.
Wonderfully exquisite ! We had a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was very flavorful, tasty and presentation was great👍🏽. We will definitely give this gem of a recommendation to our family and friends visiting the area! And we will definitely dine here again the next time we're in town. This is definitely a 5 Star⭐️ experience! Great Job!
The location is so lovely and we had a nice seat at the patio. Our brunch started fine, but slowed down to a crawl by the end. They ask you if you want your dishes all together or back to back. By the 3rd dish we had been sitting there for a half hour with no attention. Then the waiter came and we told him to box the 4th dish. It took away from the experience, unfortunately. But overall, nice idea 4 dishes shared by all. With such a large staff, a customer shouldn't wait too long for anything.
Perfect brunch experience, but don't go if you're in a hurry. Brunch is served family style with a choice of four entrees. We started with the beignets before our 4 entrees and I would order them every time. For our entrees, they come out in courses and every one was perfect. Avocado toast, semolina flatbread, crispy duck confit hash, and shrimp and grits. Every dish was perfectly prepared. I also highly recommend the Redemption Rye whiskey drink (can't remember the name) - best cocktail I have ever had! I'm already looking forward to returning again.
This dining experience was truly phenomenal. My wife and I were there for a belated 10th anniversary celebration (we spent part of our honeymoon in Napa) and this was hands down the meal of the year for both of us by far. I don't normally do the chef pre-fix menus but highly recommend it here because of the expert wine pairings and tremendous service. Be prepared to pay up because this place is NOT cheap, but the food and the experience are well worth it. The service is exemplary starting from the craft cocktails to start all the way through to dessert. There is also an organic farm to table approach to their cooking philosophy which is a huge added plus for patrons who care about that sort of thing. Lots of rich and delicious light courses that don't leave you feeling stuffed. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. This was the highlight of a 10th anniversary weekend to remember. Thank you to the wait staff and kitchen team at Farm for making that happen!
