The food was great waiter could have be a bit better
Two for brunch and a lovely experience at Farm. The choices were well designed and impeccably presented.
They tasted even better than they looked plus a couple surprises from the kitchen. Unique non alcoholic choices for drinks and totally accommodating.
Can’t wait to go back!
The restaurant is just gorgeous! Loved everything about it! We came in for brunch and mimosas. The food was yummy and very fresh. It was seasoned perfectly! My only complaint was the wait for our food. Each dish came out at different times, but the wait for each was 30 mins. We order there family style four dish for $45 pp. Our reservations was at 11am and we weren’t done until 2:30pm. The staff was superb! Our server was wonderful and very sweet. He waived our dessert and coffee since the food was taking so long. I would definitely be back!
The dinner may not have blown me away as it normally does, but the service (Raymond and staff) was truly exceptional. My wife and I felt very well taken care of ... and she loved celebrating our anniversary there.
Unique, fresh ingredients along with creative combinations, great preparations and presentation.
Great food and service. Highly recommend. Mentioned in notes that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Every staff member we came into contact with made the effort to congratulate us. We also were provided with champagne, dessert, and a special bite from the chef. Outstanding to say the least. Will make it a point to return when in Napa. Cheers!
this restaurant was recommended to us and did not disappoint, great meal and service as well. We felt it was value for the money also. would indeed recommend and will return if in the area again.
Excellent food (and wine selection). I have been here at least 8 times and have not been disappointed yet. The food is both tasty and original. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Awesome place, foods and service! I wanna go back again
We had a fabulous experience at FARM. I want to give a special shout out to our server who was absolutely amazing!! Thank you !!!!
I have eaten here at least 20 times but mostly for dinner and it has always been a lovely dining experience. This was a brunch for four people (we've had brunch their twice before) and it was very empty at the time of our reservation (11am). Our table was great, near the fireplace. We ordered mimosa's that were exceptional and our waiter (a guy) was really fun. However, during the meal (four courses, family style) I called over to another server who was standing around and asked for her to take our dirty plates and bring clean ones. She slowly and unenthusiastically removed the plates, but then did not bring new ones. It was really awkward and everyone at the table commented on it. Meanwhile, she went back to standing around with a glazed-over look - and our waiter was not around, so I had to call out to her again. The whole meal was like this - and she was "put out" at helping out her colleague, it seemed. So I assume are really nice waiter had tables outside and just wasn't able to get back to us once the food was brought out to clear our dirty plates and bring new ones. Other than that he was great and brought out scones with a candle for our friend's birthday and inquired about how we liked the food etc...so I think some work needs to be done on the staffing situation, if you are going to remain an upscale brunch spot for $45 per person without beverages, tax, tip. The service issue made it very disappointing this trip.
Very good service, food and wine service. Avoid the back room tables--less ambiance and a bit out-of-the-way.
Food was good but our server was very pushy wanting our party to order more food although we said we just wanted a light meal.
Tasty, inventive dishes. Wonderful!
While the food and ambiance was wonderful, we felt a bit in a fishbowl. Too many wait staff stopping by to see if everything was ok. It was too much. Less is more. And I know your staff understands audience analysis, but that’s an important reminder.
Also, as a frequent Napa visitor, with a small wine collection, we were very surprised by the price of some bottles of wine. Our hesitation resulted in the somale assisting us, and while well intentioned, was again too much scrutiny.
The layout, furnishings and design was lovely.
Great food and service. Enjoyed the experience thoroughly.
The FARM is a wonderful place, the food is phenomenal with local fare and the freshest of ingredients, the service staff is prepared to discuss what is on the menu, extremely attentive to your needs, and the sommelier is knowledgeable. Everyone is kind and very professional. This is our new favorite restaurant.
Dined on valentines and while the service was very attentive we were both really disappointed with the food itself. Several of the dishes were quite lacklustre and the scallops dish was borderline unpleasant. The final course of chocolate cake was dry and just not worth the calories. How do you mess up chocolate cake on valentines?!
Setting, decor and service all very nice though.
We went there with another couple for my birthday. It is a perfect special-occasion place, with fine dining and great service. It is a little pricey, but we all felt we got our money’s worth, and very much enjoyed our meal.
Good experience overall. Food was great, service was good, and the bill was really reasonable.
Excellent experience! Great service from GM Zion & Chef Aaron.
My husband and I went for date night after hearing wonderful things about this place, and we weren't disappointed. Absolutely impressive decor, service that made you feel taken care of and the most mind-blowingly delicious duck I've ever had. The one dark spot on this otherwise stellar review was that my husband ordered a Sculpin (very expensive beer) for $14 (on par with other places) and they were out of it, so they brought him a Lagunitas IPA (much cheaper) with a beaten-up label and, once opened and sipped, tasted a little old. He was tired, and didn't want to make a fuss, but I was not pleased that we were still charged for the more expensive bottle on our bill. We'll return, but we'll be a bit careful when reviewing our bill. It feels weird to quibble about such a thing, but I think it's because everything else was so perfect, this just stood out.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was awesome and so was the service. Our main courses were good but not the most amazing we ever had. The chocolate bar dessert was really yummy.
Horrible, inedible food
My wife and I have stayed at Carneros and dined at The Farm. We knew our friends would enjoy their overall experience and food. Thank you,
Pleasant evening, have been here several times in the past. Food is all excellent, though we often waited much longer than expected between courses....over 2 hrs for 2 courses, even though we DID linger for 20 mins over he wine list and menu. While our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable, some items were not explained as intended. Restaurant made good on the miscommunication and again, quality of the food was excellent.
Always a great choice for a night out. Great service, creative food and upscale atmosphere without being put on.
Ambiance is nice. Food inconsistent - some good some not. Service was not good. Took forever, mixed up orders, last item arrived cold 90 mins later after being told if was just coming out of the oven.
The overall experience of the meal was great- service and ambience great. Several dishes were excellent, but the Jidori Chicken was really disappointing. The texture of it was unappetizing (cartilaginous). Otherwise, excellent. The Somm was great.
Always love the place. Outstanding customer service and awesome food!
The steak for two was very below average. Everything else was very good.
Excellent Place to Linger Over Beautiful Food
I went with 2 friends of mine and we had one of the most delicious meals I've ever had at Farm. We moved gently through oysters on the half shell to beef in 3.5 hours.
The beau solei and miyagis were delicious with a little sparkling from the manager because the vermentino we ordered was not chilled.
Then on to a lovely Farm salad with delicious radichio dressed lightly with a lovely vinaigrette. Along side was a scrumptious toast with burrata that melted in your mouth.
Next course a delicious and very green Dungeness crab risotto with a basil oil drizzle. Mouthwatering!
After those small plates, we moved on to the entree for surf and turf. A lovely combination of sweet diver scallops and beef cheek in two dishes was the capper.
The service was impeccable, friendly and approachable yet not in your face. Each dish came in perfect timing and all dishes were removed with new glassware brought with each wine pairing.
You shouldn't miss this hidden gem at the Carneros Resort. It is definitely a destination worth visiting and returning to near the Napa Valley.
Table for two after a day of wine tasting in St Helena. We ordered a gin based cocktail and had the farm salad, the truffle tagliatelle, the lamb, and the duck. The cocktail was very good. The salad was average. The tagliatelle was delicious! The lamb and duck were very mediocre. The veggies in these meat dishes were very random and too acidic, so didn't really go that well.
There was also a 1 hour delay between our salad and the next course for some reason, likely because they had to serve a large table which threw off their pacing. They did not do anything to compensate for the wait which was a bit surprising given how much we paid for the meal. Although we were not in a rush, I think this tainted the experience because I had not eaten anything significant for about 8 or 9 hours after a full day of wine tasting and at that point I only had one cocktail, a small portion of salad, and bread.
Overall the service was still quite good, and the ambience was wonderful, but don't think I'd come back. I would give it a 3.5 stars. There are many other better places in the area to try for your money's worth. Probably a great option if you're actually staying at the resort.
So - La - La
We had dinner the night before, granted Saturday evening, a wedding and 40th birthday in the house, to celebrate the 60th birthday of 1 in our party.
The appetizers came out in a decent time and were good.
We then waited for about 40 minutes for the main course. We asked about 35 minutes in and were told they are dished NOW. It took another 10 minutes.
The Risotto was hot and tasty, The scallops god, the duck and Truffle Pasta Luke warm.
Not impressed by the size of the pasta either, looked more like a starter size, though the fresh truffle was a good amount an delicious. But you know the truffle only allows to spread the flavor when the food is warm. I asked if the dish was available in warm, it took a moment and it was plastered with a huge dollop of some sort of a cream - not impressed.
The family style breakfast is a great idea however, we were not asked if there are any allergies the kitchen needs to know about. This time it was not full and that is an important question.
The Avocado toast was good, the french brioche toast one of the best we ever had. The one at Hilltop was outstanding too.
We asked for a vegetarian Egg Benedict asking if it possible to substitute the ham with mushrooms, kale, spinach, a tomato, anything. It came on a bread soaked in the citrussy hollandaise nothing was substituted. BUT the egg was cooked to perfection.
The green juices were delicious, BUT PLEASE think about the amount of plastic - either look for an alternative for the plastic straw Loli straw or paper and do not make it an compulsory item.
My husband and I always have a wonderful meal at Farm. The service was great and the small booths are very cozy for a intimate date night.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner at FARM. We were on a date night without the kiddos and was very happy with our meal and service. Thank you Team FARM!
We were served exquisite cocktails the bar while waiting for them to prepare a fireside table for us. Our server was excellent. Only minor annoyance is how long it took the mains to come out
We celebrated my husbands 35th birthday last night at Farm. Our entire meal was delicious and service was perfectly paced to our liking. We enjoyed several courses including caviar (amazing egg curd and onion jam!), foie gras terrine, tagliatelle with fresh truffles (so yummy), and finished with the scallops and tasting of beef. While the flavors were classic, the preparations made the dishes exciting and fresh. The sommelier, Zion, was very helpful in selecting wine to go with our meal as well. We cannot wait to come back!
