Tasting menu started out nicely with the braised octopus. It's tenderized 3 different ways which added a char before braising. I'm not someone who orders octopus on my own but I really enjoyed this dish and it set a high bar for the rest of the meal. The ricotta gnocchi was ok... it seemed overcooked to me- very very soft, flavors were good, not amazing. I hoped for redemption with the pork belly dish. My wife thought the pork belly was on the dry side, I thought it was just too sweet with little hint of savory at all, which is hard for pork belly. Overall that pork belly dish was a big disappointment. The savory dishes did end on a high note with the strip loin. Curiously, they don't seem to cook it to order, they just cook everything to medium. However, despite not being asked how we like our steak, or being told anything about how it's prepared, the strip loin did turn out nice and the accompanying purees added nice flavor. The carrot cake dessert to end the meal looked amazing. It was made to look like an actual carrot with cookies crumbs to look like a bed of dirt. The texture and flavor didn't live up to the presentation. The texture seemed more like a cookie dough than cake and the flavor again was good at best.
It was a special occasion and I wanted to love this meal and this place. This was our first time back in years, and it will probably be years before our next time, if at all.
Farm is one of the best restaraunts in California hands down. Very friendly staff and even accommodated a spot for us on the patio with our dogs.
Couldn’t ask for anything more!
Service could have been better. Had to ask for beverage refills, missed items, etc.
Terrific food, great service, and an inviting country atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Excellent food, with excellent service for a reasonable price. Would go again
Over the top awesome!! McKenzy was our waiter and made our anniversary super awesome!
My husband and I both had the five course “Carrot” tasting menu. Every course was inventive but not too fussy. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish, and the best part was that each course was portioned perfectly such that we were comfortably full at the end of the meal. We hate when there’s so much food that you are full prior to the last couple courses coming out and are unable to enjoy them completely. My husband hates gnocchi, and it was his second favorite course! The dessert was also inventive and fun. We both agreed that it was the best tasting menu we had experienced in a long time, and that list includes many established as well as trendy restaurants. The value was great, too.
There was also a “signature” cocktail made with carrots and tequila that was divine. Delicious and light, not overpowering.
Would definitely go back, and with the seasonal menu changing every couple weeks, this may become a recurring event!
Excellent food and service! Will be back next time I’m in the Napa area!
FARM at Carneros was everything that it was built up to be. The food, service and atmosphere all provided the prefect addition to our night. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a perfect experience. An experience in dining that did not disappoint at any level.
Expensive and not inspired
We have dined at most restaurants in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, and rate Farm as the best in class with freshness, creativity, flavor and presentation. Absolutely well done! Only wish you carried one of our two favorite wines on the menu ~ Belle Glos Pinot in any designation and Quilt Cabernet. Despite the misses, the wine list is outstanding.
Love it! Had the brunch tasting menu. Will definitely go back for the dinner tasting menu.
Went for brunch. Fun share menu. Great food, service and scene.
What a fantastic place! The food was fresh and divine with excellent wine pairings. It is a highly busy place so call way in advance for reservations. The ambience is modern farmhouse and is beautifully designed. Would definitely return.
Consistently tasty food, amazing wait staff, great ambiance
The dishes described were not as what was served . In addition the waiter didn’t serve us bread, kept pouring our wine bottle w/o asking and strongly suggested what to order and I did so feeling compelled to do so. I did not enjoy my meal though My husband liked it very much .
Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my wife. We had the chef selected multi course meal with the accompanying wines and have to say the meal was outstanding.
We eaten here several times and each time we leave feeling satisfied, and looking forward to our next experience.
Requested to be sat near fireplace- were sat farthest from it
The lobster tail was tough
The ravioli strange texture and flavor over the top
Wines and deserts were delicious
We appreciate being treated professionally but the staff except for our waiter were humorless and scripted
Yes I had high expectations- and they were not met
Server was too attentive
The brunch menu was amazing!!! It was nice to select a variety of entrees and share. The portions are perfect and something is available for everyone’s palette. My favorite was the chicken and waffles, it’s a must try.
Waiter ruined the atmosphere of the whole evening. Didn’t eat quick enough for him and he made sure to make it known. Been here one other time and it was fabulous but after this last experience I wouldn’t go back. Fiancé had the duck and it was undercooked & fatty. Really disappointed.
One of the best brunches we have ever experienced!
All four courses were exceptional with the chicken and waffles
and the french toast with whipped cream being out of this world!
And the biegnets were a fantastic way to start.
Our waiter (McKinsey?) gave us great advice on what to order
and is clearly well trained and a fun person besides.
We can't wait to go back and try the duck entree as his suggestion!
It was great!
Farm never disappoints. We went for a friend's birthday recently and the food, the service, and the ambiance were all outstanding. Always enjoy the lobster appetizer, the farm salad, and a variety of other dishes. Farm should be on everyone's list of go-to restaurants in Napa.
The Farm came highly recommended and did not disappoint. All foods and beverages were excellent and the service is unsurpassed!! We had a very enjoyable evening!!
Enjoyed all my courses along with some high-end local Chardonnay. Great service. Went out to sit by the fire for coffee and dessert and moments later all the power in the restaurant went off ( including the fireplace ) and I was sitting in the dark. Waited about 15 minutes but the power didn’t came back on. Luckily the server had brought me a blanket and little lite but they did leave me there without any update.
Amazing brunch - lots of variety, and generous portions! Aaron is a master chef!!
At brunch, the beignets and beet salad were delicious, but we were extremely disappointed in the lobster roll... Portion of lobster to the roll was embarrassing.
Fabulous meal by chef Nick and excellent service led by Solange
Food was ok, we ordered the special caviar 1/2 for $60, the fish did not look presentable the crackers offered were very fragile and could not enjoy, the caviar seems to be blended with some kind of jam that came with it.
Very limited menu. The duck was tough. Nice place but we were disappointed in the food.
Our waiter was fantastic, basically ate everything he recommended. Food was outstanding!!
Always a wonderful experience here. We got married at the Carneros Resort so it’s special every time we visit, and Farm
Everything is good about this restaurant. Dessert (Mont Blanc) was fantastic!
Amazing Food, but Horrible Service!!!!
