Farm & Table Ratings and Reviews
Really nice food served in a beautiful scenic spot. My only complaints were:
1) food came too quickly. Felt rushed. 5 minutes after ordering our food was present.
2) server was a bit more absent than I’d prefer.
1) really beautiful trout dish. Well presented. Great flavors. Beautifully deboned.
2) the recommendations from the server were on point. This sherry he suggested with the dessert was a perfect compliment.
3) it was a charming place in an area I’d have never expected to find a place like this.
4) challenging flavors and preparations on New Mexico classics.
We decided to repeat a visit to Farm and Table for my husbands 70th birthday. They did honor my request to be seated indoors. Even on the coolest nights people are seated outdoors on a protected, heated patio but it can still be pretty cool. The wine selection is good but the mark up is huge. $12.50 for a glass of Chardonnay. I ordered the pork loin with mushrooms and sweet potato purée which was very good. My husband ordered the chicken fried special (thigh and wing) which was just ok with very little meat. I guess it would have been better if you like to eat skin. It was supposed to be served with greens but they were hidden in the mashed potatoes and negligible. Dessert dishes were not that memorable. The whole meal was not as good as we remembered. Probably won’t return for awhile.
The ambiance is very pleasant and the staff is very friendly. The food is creative and flavorful, although not memorable. My main criticism is that the portions are small and thus, the value score is only good. I've eaten at Farm and Table in the past and they have improved regarding the portions, but I still leave a little hungry.
We had an amazing meal. We started with grilled artichoke hearts on crostini with goat cheese; phenomenal! I had the pork tenderloin with sweet potato purée which was very flavorful. My husband had the spaghetti bolognase with sausage, lamb and beef. Also, very delicious. We were very full but could not pass up the chocolate and pecan pie with the graham cracker crust. Very rich but oh so good.
Our only complaints would be; we sat near the door leading to the patio/ outdoor dining area. Every time the door opened, a cold draft would engulf us at our table. The other complaint would be my plate was cold which made the pork tenderloin and sides a tad cool instead of hot. I didn’t want to send it back because the flavor was so good, I was afraid if it was reheated it might dry out the meat. Overall, we had an excellent dinner. Our server Kuno was very knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. I would dine here again and highly recommend Farm &Table.
After spending a few days in Sante Fe, I needed a place to celebrate a birthday before leaving from ABQ the next day. I had been referred by a friend to another restaurant having the same "farm to table" theme. They were completely booked up and so, I came upon Farm To Table on Trip Advisor. Frankly, I'm glad the other place was booked. Everything about Farm To Table was excellent!
We started off with the roasted Artichoke heats with goat cheese (fabulous) and the end-of-the-season caprese salad. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful. The Moz fresh, and the balsamic drizzle tasted homemade.
The Birthday Girl had a pork chop that, no kidding, looked like a 2 1/2" thick NY Strip. It was tender, cooked to perfection, and simply delicious. (There was no way she could finish it, so, of course, I had to help!)
I had the eggplant parm and it was fantastic. Light and delicious using spaghetti squash instead of pasta. The wine list is most adequate and the service was terrific. I'm not sure that I would make a special trip from Ohio to Farm To Table, but I certainly would make it part of my next New Mexico itinerary!
The service was terrible. Our waiter could not be less interested in taking our order or explaining why our dinner took an hour and 10 minutes to come out. Had to beg for water. Even when we got the food it was not worth the cost. Nothing impressive here, overrated. Check out Los Poblanos nearby.
I am so very happy with our experience at Farm and Table the other night. John and I visited for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It's become a tradition to celebrate there! I had requested a special drink (non-alcoholic because I'm pregnant) and they had it ready as soon as we arrived. Thank you for making our evening so special! :)
Asked for quiet spot to reserve, stuck in middle. Waiter never came around for water, had no ice on warm morning. Handicapped, asked for padded chair with off to corner due to hearing loss, got neither. Food was bland , expensive. Ordered light alcohol, got a half glass and charged full price! Very loud, reservation was a joke.
We had reservations on a busy Friday night and were seated promptly. We requested a patio table and were accommodated. There was a rain shower, but we stayed dry under the covered patio. The artichoke appetizer was delicious. My husband said that his pork chop may have been the best pork chop that he has ever eaten and it was big enough to save half for another meal. My steak was delicious and none got saved. The mac and cheese was nothing special and colder than I would have liked. We got the chocolate/nut torte with a birthday candle. I didn't care for the marshmallow fluff served with it , but my husband was glad to finish it off. The waiter was busy with a lot of diners, but did his best to keep us happy. In general, a place we would love to go back to for special dinners.
