Farm & Table Ratings and Reviews
Farm & Table is always one of my favorite places to go in ABQ. Wonderful drink menu, perfect atmosphere no matter what time of year, excellent food (particularly their specials), and I've never had an issue with their service. I always brings guests here as a final meal, so they know some of the best ABQ has to offer.
Very nice albeit a bit pricey. One great thing is that we got there 45 minutes early (show got out early) and the receptionist peddled hard and to us in very quickly. That being said we were on the porch which had not warmed up yet, and sat with our heavy coats for a while.
Despite a reservation we were made to wait to get a table. We were expecting lots of fresh vegetable forward options and were disappointed to get brunch food that was heavy and lacking flavor. We had simple requests for things like side of green Chile, sugar, a fork, salt/pepper and it took so long our food was cold by the time our extras came. Service was slow and poor. We felt largely ignored. Disappointed.
I moved to abq a year ago from Los Angeles and have been looking forward to dining here. The reviews were excellent and I love the fresh idea. First, it was a beautiful evening yet the outside patio was closed. Next, the plate presentation was beautiful...however bottom line is the duck was cold the trout was okay and the pork tenderloin was undercooked. The sides were unimpressive. We left hungry and disappointed. The service was great. Prices ridiculous. Won’t be back.
Made reservations an hour before and showed up 15 minutes early. Got sat right away which was great. Host, waitstaff, and chefs are all phenomenal. Great food including appetizers and entrees, great wine and drink selections. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Thank you, we definitely will be returning!!!
The food was absolutely amazing. The chef perfectly pairs all of the offerings with delicate sides and presents them beautifully on the plate. It’s a little bit more expensive than your average restaurant but the freshness and quality made it well worth the price. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be back!
good food. disappointed that I told the greeter it was my parents 69th anniversary and nothing was said or offered in the way of congratulations to them. Would not celebrate a special occasion here again. It was very early evening and initially only diners so it wasnt that they wwre too busy or distracted.
First visit while on vacation and passing through Albuquerque. Chose due to Yelp reviews. Good wine selection and creative food made for fun evening, although nothing was really 5 stars. One thing that did stand out is that with our entrees came 4-5 sides on the plate, in small portions of course, but not your typical protein, starch and veg. And not over-priced. I would definitely visit again.
Really nice food served in a beautiful scenic spot. My only complaints were:
1) food came too quickly. Felt rushed. 5 minutes after ordering our food was present.
2) server was a bit more absent than I’d prefer.
1) really beautiful trout dish. Well presented. Great flavors. Beautifully deboned.
2) the recommendations from the server were on point. This sherry he suggested with the dessert was a perfect compliment.
3) it was a charming place in an area I’d have never expected to find a place like this.
4) challenging flavors and preparations on New Mexico classics.
We decided to repeat a visit to Farm and Table for my husbands 70th birthday. They did honor my request to be seated indoors. Even on the coolest nights people are seated outdoors on a protected, heated patio but it can still be pretty cool. The wine selection is good but the mark up is huge. $12.50 for a glass of Chardonnay. I ordered the pork loin with mushrooms and sweet potato purée which was very good. My husband ordered the chicken fried special (thigh and wing) which was just ok with very little meat. I guess it would have been better if you like to eat skin. It was supposed to be served with greens but they were hidden in the mashed potatoes and negligible. Dessert dishes were not that memorable. The whole meal was not as good as we remembered. Probably won’t return for awhile.
The ambiance is very pleasant and the staff is very friendly. The food is creative and flavorful, although not memorable. My main criticism is that the portions are small and thus, the value score is only good. I've eaten at Farm and Table in the past and they have improved regarding the portions, but I still leave a little hungry.
We had an amazing meal. We started with grilled artichoke hearts on crostini with goat cheese; phenomenal! I had the pork tenderloin with sweet potato purée which was very flavorful. My husband had the spaghetti bolognase with sausage, lamb and beef. Also, very delicious. We were very full but could not pass up the chocolate and pecan pie with the graham cracker crust. Very rich but oh so good.
Our only complaints would be; we sat near the door leading to the patio/ outdoor dining area. Every time the door opened, a cold draft would engulf us at our table. The other complaint would be my plate was cold which made the pork tenderloin and sides a tad cool instead of hot. I didn’t want to send it back because the flavor was so good, I was afraid if it was reheated it might dry out the meat. Overall, we had an excellent dinner. Our server Kuno was very knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. I would dine here again and highly recommend Farm &Table.
