We were celebrating my long term friends promotion. The table was dirty. I had to go back to the guy that hurriedly sat us to get it cleaned. They sat us near the back although there was a table up front ( it has dirty glasses on it the entire time we had our meal ). They sat us at a four top and let the other two place settings there. The pasta was ok although not as good as I remembered. Our server kept trying to up sell our every decision without much explanation except 'it's better'. I'm pretty certain it was my last time at what used to be one of my favorites.

Farina is such a gem. With beautifully modern meets rustic decor and a wonderfully hospitable (mostly norther Italian) staff, this restaurant is going to be one of our go-to's in the city! Every dish was prepared to perfection, full of flavor and a delight to all senses - particularly the pasta, which was light as air and seemed to melt in the mouth! I can't say enough. Will definitely be going next week to get my fix!

Quiet because no one was there. As, and one other table. The whole time....between 7:00-8:30pm. Came home and googled, and now realize it is probably the lawsuit. Have not been for 1+ years. Some of the food the same, some has gone down hill. Too bad. Was a favorite.

A San Francisco classic. Spectacular pasta, and I'd like to point out how accommodating they were, my friend is on a no salt diet and the waitress asked the chef if the fish could be just grilled with oil and lemon instead of the broth preparation, and he totally did. Very very happy with the service and dishes A++++

Service less attentive and crisp than on previous occasions. Wine list has been gutted; reduced to a few selections. Food was excellent, as always. Noise level is low during meals in the early evening. Outdoor dining remains an attractive option.

Unfortunately, when we arrived for our reservation, the hostess informed us that the restaurant's computers were 'down', and therefore they could not cook any food. They said they were unsure when or if they would be back up; they did not offer much of an apology, nor did they try to accommodate us. Instead we ended up having to find an alternate restaurant to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was a shame -- their space is really beautiful. It is hard to understand how the functioning of their computers affect their ability to cook food. Very frustrating....

Nice evening at Farina. Bread is homemade and delicious. We had the prosciutto and buratta starter which was also yummy. The rabbit pasta was delicious and flavorful but maybe a little dry. The lamb and parpdele was perfect. Maybe a little more of the homemade pasta next time since it was also delicious.

I love what they do here and I really want this place to succeed. The quality is excellent and they capture the authentic flavor of Italy. But the place was dead on a Wednesday night at 8:30. Some places do really well when they're busy and energetic. But when they're slow they fall flat. Service was friendly, food was great, but ambiance was lacking. There were only 3 tables at the restaurant and we were all right next to each other.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere.

The only drawback is the ambient noise level. When they've got a packed house, it's really loud and hard to have conversations with your dinner companions.

The ambience was really nice and service was pretty good but food was below average. We ordered a focaccia for an appetizer and the filling was watery. The salad dressing was so bitter each of us only finished about 1/3 of our salads (we ordered 3). We shared pasta and artichokes for the main course and they were ok but nothing to write home about. Would not go back or recommend because food was meh but the place is cute-it's a shame.

The service was wonderful after an initial hiccup (see below). We really enjoyed our server. Even when we gave her a slight bit of constructive criticism (please don't clear one person's plate if the other person is still working on the same course - it can make the slower eater feel rushed), she was nice and helpful and we ended up having a nice conversation with her.

The handkerchief pesto pasta exceeded our high expectations. The pasta with the lamb was also excellent. The prosciutto in burrata on foccaccia was really terrific and a healthy sized serving. The roasted artichokes dish and the brussel sprouts dish both had an unfortunate acidity to them. Not inedible, but not to our liking. The desserts were good and solid.

In my Open Table reservation I added requests to make our wedding anniversary dinner memorable. It was obvious from the outset that no one has read the notes I had taken the time to type in, or at least no one had informed our server of our requests. When she first came to our table after the hostess seated us, I mentioned the situation. She seemed embarrassed, said she would look at the notes, and she came back immediately with the two glasses of Proseco that I'd asked to be served to us upon arrival. The other little surprises for my wife that I'd asked for were subsequently all taken care of. So good for our server and a reminder to any restaurant using Open Table to READ THE REQUESTS notes that a customer may leave when making a reservation.

I will take my foodie parents here when they are next in town. Looking forward to it!

I have been to this restaurant before and had a great meal. However, this time was not so good.
The service was good, our waitress was wonderful. My main complaint would be the quality of the meat. We had the snapper, the veal and the porterhouse. The meat was cooked properly.. but the quality of the meat was clearly different then my other experience. The meat was chewy and full of gristle and took quite the effort to even cut. Either the chef didn't inspect the shipment or someone has cut corners on the purchasing side. At well over $300 bucks.. I would not recommend this restaurant. I think they should stick to Italian food and have 1 steak entree of higher quality.
