I went there for Prom and the service was very good! They were quick to get your order in and on your table!
The food was excellent. The server was excellent and friendly.
Delicious food. Never disappointed! We love taking our young children up here to dine outside on the patio. They play, we enjoy a romantic meal together... win, win! We also enjoy 1/2 price wine Wednesday! Share a bottle in the sunshine and munch a yummy wood fired pizza!!!
This was my second time to Farina for dinner. My friend and I split a smaller portion chopped salad and a smaller portion pasta dish. Both dishes were amazing. With the smaller portions we still probably ate a little more than we should have but the portions were what we wanted, not outrageously huge. Looking forward to dining outside and enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
Two out of our meals were overly salted - the red sauce was inedible and we sent the plates back. They did comp us for those meals and quickly grilled up some shrimp to add to my salad, which was nice. Disappointing because red sauce is a mainstay of an Italian restaurant!
Great food and experience. Jimmy, our server, was awesome!!!
Great food service and wine list..
Service and atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious! No complaints here!
Always satisfied with the quality of the Italian food, drinks, and exceptional service!
Enjoyed dinner very much. Food was good. Portions large.
Easter brunch, excellent brunch. Outside. Perfect. Ty.
We went here for Easter brunch and it was aooooo good. Had mimosa’s and tried their cannoli stuffed French toast which was amazing! Our server was so nice and friendly as were the hostess. We usually go here for dinner, which we love, but it was a nice change to try their brunch. We will definitely be back!
I wish I could say I had a great meal here. I did not. When I made the reservation I included that we would be celebrating a birthday. This was never communicated to the server. That is not a big deal though, things happen.
We decided on three entrees and an app for the two of us and told the server we would be taking home a lot for the next day. We wanted to try so many things it all looked so good.
The tomatoes and oil/vinegar were wonderful on the appetizer. The bread they were served on was not so good. Half was warm and toasty and the other half was soggy and not cooked. I am unsure how this happened as I know kitchens pretty well.
The Three entrees arrived in perfect time, we were given plates and serving utensils to use, which was a nice touch. The pasta in the seafood dish was all clumped together and broke off into big gooey pieces when lifted. The seafood was so tough from being overcooked it wasn't worth eating. The chicken dish in cream sauce with goats cheese was pretty good at first but, the flavors were so intense it became bitter after just a few bites. Then there were the dry and way over-seasoned scallops with risotto. I have never left a scallop on a plate anywhere until now.
We ate what we could and were then asked if we wanted boxes, after saying that was the plan. We declined. There was nothing worth taking home which to us is a big part of dining out and why we buy extra meals! No question was asked about why we were abandoning all the uneaten food. No concern whatsoever with why we did not want to have coffee or deserts.
Overall the meal was under $100 with a couple bottles of water and a cocktail, so very affordable. If only there was quality in the preparation of an obviously well thought out menu and some interaction when things were simply not right, we would be big fans.
Second time there. Had a great experience and enjoyed the meal.
Went for the first time for my husband's birthday, everything was amazing. Will be back soon. I had the risotto, was definitely not disappointed, delicious.
The food and service have always been very good at Farrina - that's why we keep coming back. Tonight was right in line with the other times. Nice job to our server and the chef.
A friend and I went for the first time for dinner. It was a bit of a special occasion so we ordered several of the smaller size dishes to do some sharing. The chopped salad was unbelievably flavorful and we loved it. We also shared three other dishes that were wonderful and had so much still left over to take home. I would definitely go back under any circumstances whether it was a date night out with my husband or another evening out with friends.
Delicious! Great service. Our waitress made great suggestions and we were very happy with the selections.
We both really enjoyed our entrees, the calamari appetizer was delicious and the service was outstanding. The only negative is we think it a bit pricey. However, we will definitely go back and would rank it at the top of Italian restaurants in the Raleigh area.
Really like the shareable family platters. Able to try several items on menu.
Fast seating. Friendly wait staff. We ordered two identical pizzas. When they arrived they were anything but. They corrected it but we had to take it to go. I think it should have been free.
excellent service - relaxed dining ... did not feel rushed at all.
food was wonderful, portions were huge (lots of take out containers for our table)
We had been there in the past and bragged about the food to friends. The food was not as good as it has been in the past. Disappointing that an entree ordered before was changed in the way it was prepared! Much too rich causing the person who had that to be sick that night.
Cannolis were great!
The food was traditional delicious Italian fare, well prepared and plentiful. The service was above average, and we enjoyed our meals and the evening. The only thing that made our experience slightly less than ideal was the noise level, which was very high and sometimes made it difficult to have a normal conversation. I would, however, recommend the restaurant and the food, and we will plan on a return visit.
This was my second dining experience at Farina. The first was a business meeting and this time with wife and friends who are world travelers. All had rave reviews for food, service (Angela was our waiter), spacious pleasant environment, and comfortable chairs. I would rate this as tops for those factors and value (huge portions) for fair price. We ordered calamari appetizer which was tender and scrumptious, followed by shared caesar salads, chicken piccata and marsala main courses. Multiple wine glasses. Desserts were cheesecake, gelato and tiramisu all outstanding and large portions. Cafe latte to finish. Not rushed. Very friendly staff. Would recommend for bot social and business dining.
Birthday dinner. Very good. I would definitely go back.
Service a bit slow at first but quickly set pace after waitress found us. Everyone at the table enjoyed the meal...a bit pricey
Went with my wife and we loved everything we ordered. My wife ordered eggplant parmigiana and the portion was so large we thought they brought the family size in error. I ordered the Sunday Gravy which has me drooling thinking about it. Definitely going back.
Very tasty, great service, ample portions and a very nice location. A bit pricey especially if you can’t resist the merlot. It’s more of a pasta joint than an Italian joint as there’s no beefy lasagna and the pizza offering is solidly hipster.
This was our second time trying Farina. The first time the service was great and the food was awesome. This time, the service was abysmal. Took almost 1/2 hour to get our appetizer and another 25 minutes to get our food. We were there almost an hour when we finally got our food. The food was good but after waiting that long, all we wanted to do was go home and not eat. The restaurant manager ended up "comping" our meal but I seriously doubt we will go there again. Not worth the hour drive on the hopes of getting a meal.
Great food great service
Everything was wonderful from the service to the food to the atmosphere. We will most certainly be back!!
Awesome as usual. Excellent food and service!
We had reservations but the hostess sat us at one of the worst tables even though only 3 other tables were occupied. Server was great but food was nothing special.
This was my first time at Farina and the food and drinks were excellent. Stephen was our waiter and treated us like family. Roasted chicken pasta and butternut squash ravioli were delicious. Definitely will return.
Discovered Farina Neighborhood Italian from OpenTable's suggestion system. We were very happy we went with the recommendation. By far the best Italian food I have had in a while and my favorite in the Triangle. Try the Gnocchi, they are like pillows of goodness (they use ricotta instead of potatoes). The bruschetta is enormous! Save room for dessert, we didn't :-)
Excellent food and outstanding service.
We celebrated my husband's birthday last week. The service was great and the food was delicious. Only one problem :-( I am gluten free and asked if the Chicken Saltimbocca was gluten free. The server checked with the kitchen and was told it was. So yummy, but the next couple of days reminded me to check the ingredients more carefully.
We ordered from Triangle Restaurant Week menu. The Roast chicken main course was very small and terrible. We were very disappointed and would not recommend.
Went for restaraunt week. Was satisfied with starter and main but dessert (mini cheesecake) wasn't great. Sadly neither of us wanted to eat it. Would have been nice if server offered to replace, oh well. I'll still be back again.
