Enjoy dinner in our warm and inviting dining room, or dine al fresco on our spacious patio. Whether you are bringing the family out to dinner, or just meeting friends for drinks, Farina has what you are looking for.
(Please note that our patio dining is on a first come, first serve basis. It is pet friendly and non smoking.)
Service was excellent. Server was very friendly and helpful. She knew the wines and helped our table choose a great wine. I ordered Chicken Marsala and it was cooked very well but I thought it was too salty for me.
Always great service and delicious food. Great Italian atmosphere.
The food was delicious! Our waitress was outstanding!
We always enjoy Farina's delicious lunches and dinners, and Saturday night's dinner was no exception. My husband and I split the large portion of Sunday Gravy and substituted angel hair pasta for the rigatoni. We really enjoyed our dinner! The angel hair was a better pasta choice for us and we certainly enjoyed every bit. We did find the sausage very spicy but the ricotta cut a bit of the heat as did the delicious bread served before our meal.
We enjoyed excellent service and will be returning soon to try some other tempting entrees we saw on the menu.
Fantastic meal and service. The braided short ribs were saying. Elizabeth took great care of us and recommended a great Malbec wine with our meal. The ambiance was perfect for a date night with comfortable volume levels so we could talk still and enjoy ourselves.
Robert, hope to see you again. Feel free to ask for Elizabeth! We love to have relationships with our guests.
Food was outstanding, the service excellent and attentive, and the prices fair to match.
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed Alexander!
Great food and atmosphere!
We continue to always try to make the restaurant a welcoming place. Thank you.
Excellent food, wine and service !
The service at Farina was excellent! Salmon and risotto were perfectly cook and delicious.
Both of the chicken dishes were beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed.
We enjoyed many extra servings of bread with a rosemary butter that was addicting.
Our server, Ian, was very helpful with the extensive wine list. Would definitely return!
The main course food was delicious with good portions. They provided bread before the meal but those portions were a bit small although they did give more once we ate the first amount. One thing was they only provided butter instead of olive oil for the bread which seemed off. I didn't follow up and ask for olive specifically so I can't say whether they would have provided it. The tables are a little too close together in the dining area taking away from the ambiance and making the noise levels higher. The service was fine. Not exceptional but not bad either. Prices seemed about right for the quality of the food and location. Overall it was good for a date but I wouldn't necessarily go their for a special occasion if you wanted a more intimate setting.
Thank you so much for the input. We actually are in the process of changing up our private dining area to accommodate special dates occasions. The ceiling is lower in there and there are beautiful wood sliding doors to help keep it intimate and quieter. The room will still be available to reserve for parties but will also be sued when not booked to give guests more refined dining. Hope you will return and try it out.
Excellent waitstaff. Food was timely and very good.
We had a great date night. The food was great and our waitress was wonderful, we will be back for sure. The restaurant was busy so the noise level wasn't low, by no means too loud to bother us. Great restaurant.
Generally good all Around.
First time visiting Farina we were excited at trying someplace new . That being said.
~We were extremely disappointed .We both ordered the sunday gravy dish. This consists of rigatoni in a red sauce( salty), one meatball (decent),3 pieces of
sausage (rubbery& salty) and short rib of beef(mystery meat in my opinion) unlike any short rib meat we have eaten before...Inedible to me .It was a flat slice of meat and very fatty!!!
Overall not a good experience.I ate very little due to the sodium over powering the meal,& poor quality meat.
I Told the waitress about the over salty taste. She said I will tell them.End of story.
Needless to say we will not return.
I am so sorry for your experience. The Sunday Gravy is typically our number one seller and most requested. I looked over the sales for the day and saw many others were sold without issue so perhaps something went terribly wrong with your order. I hope you will give us a chance to make up the error and will try us again.
Great place for a first date. The tenors were amazing!! A new spot to visit now, great food. Small menu but it’s just enough. Didn’t try the dessert but I’m sure it would be amazing like the other food.
Excellent food, great service and welcoming ambience that you would expect from a neighborhood Italian gem. Two thumbs up for Farina ... we’ll be back again soon.
The food was great and the server was amazing! Highly recommend!!
We loved our night out at Farina! Food was outstanding, service was excellent, and pricing very reasonable. It was a little loud in the restaurant but that suited us just fine as we were with friends and didn't feel like we had to be hush, hush. Overall 5 stars and we'll definitely go back!
The braised short ribs is one of the best meals I've had in Raleigh.
Love the food!!
Our favorite restaurant in the area.
Always good food, though this night the food seemed even better than usual. Wine selection has grown exponentially and there are a ton of great Reserve wines to make the evening even better. Our server was attentive and just in and out enough to not be annoying.
Birthday. Nice for families. Noisy for a date.
We shared the short ribs. They were amazing!
Stevie at the bar is the best in the business.
Great food, excellent service. Ran out of features desert. Lots of noise makes table conversation difficult.
Great food and wonderful service. A great place to eat.
Enjoyed the Caprese Salad ant the appetizer. The pizza was very good, but the night’s pork chop special was over cooked and very chewy. Did not care for it at all.
Always great food and service.
The seafood pasta was delicious. I would like to have ice in my water, please. The waitress didn’t fill my water glass up , so I had to drink my husband’s . I would prefer to have the music lower , so we can hear each other talk. We will definitely be back to try other dishes, but the seafood pasta will be hard to beat!
We have lived in a number of large cities and have struggled to find outstanding Italian food in the area; a lot of pretty good but not great. Farina does a good job preparing solid traditional dishes. I would say above average for the area. One plus is they have a very good wine list.
Farina hits all the marks. It’s casual but not informal. It’s family oriented and intimate at the same time. It makes me feel a little like I’m in an Italian neighborhood restaurant like up in New York. There’s a simplicity and elegance to the operation that is only outdone by the quality of the food. They do it right and they are consistent. We enjoy going there very much.
Food is legit...I lived in Italy for almost 8 years. It is pricey. Expect to pay 100 if you share and well over if you dont. Found out the chef had left but the kitchen was still following his recipes...suggest they continue that practice:-). These are timeless dishes. Took a bit to get a drink and order, but it was super busy and we sat in the bar area...we moved from a high table to the bar, so the delay was probably our fault. Keith makes a mean dirty vodka martini. Suggest you avoid the tables at the back of the bar unless you want to freeze or cook...they are directly under large heating/cooling vents.
We had an excellent meal. We have dined at Farina on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. We were with two other couples and had a leisurely dinner. The waiter was understanding that we wanted to spend a leisurely evening. The food was great.
Our first time at Farina. Service was good. They had some confusion about who would get wait on us, but once that was sorted our server was very attentive. The server and the management even assumed responsibility and apologized - great accountability. The salad (greens and Peaches) and pizza (Meatball) was REALLY special and the Wednesday wine deal is NOT to be missed. We will return - the food is worth it, the servers are personable and the leadership gets "it".
Excellent service and food. Top notch!
Great outdoor seating and wood fired pizza. Very friendly service.
Great food, service was solid, and prices were very reasonable for the great quality. The atmosphere is a family-oriented and relaxing one.
