Farfalla - Westlake Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately, the service was very inattentive. Granted, it was New Year’s Eve, but at 5:30 pm, it was early. We were greeted by a server and then when he had not come back for 20 mins, finally, an owner or or manager took our order. Food arrived in parts (two dinners first, then two others about ten mins later). Requests were not met (no refills on condiments for bread, etc). We were ignored, so just left without considering dessert. Hate to say that even with the delays, we were in and out in about 60 minutes...not what we had planned for our celebration.
Been going here many times over the years and it’s gotten progressively worse. It is just overpriced bottom line. And the service can be excruciatingly slow when we tell them at the beginning we have a time crunch and at the end we have 5 minutes to eat our main courses! Things are brought out and cooked wrong. Won’t go back again
Food was delicious. Three out of four of us had one of the specials. They were delicious. Wait and support staff were good. There was, however, a patron at the restaurant that ruined somewhat of the ambiance. He was either intoxicated or on/off some meds, he was loud, abrasive, and honestly a little frightening. Restaurant acknowledged the patron, but did nothing about.
We enjoyed a delightful pre-movie dinner on a Friday evening. We chose to be seated on the heated patio, which was a much more quiet environment than the bar area. All of the food was delicious, and the pacing was perfect - not rushed, but quick enough so that we had no worries about missing the start of the movie.
our server was just very rude. We didn't receive menus and when we asked for them from the server, she got upset. She wasn't too keen on providing us the specials of the day, instead blurting out "Do you want to hear the specials or what?" She just didn't seem in mood to be there or do her job.
Service was very poor! We were given water and told about specials very soon after sitting down, then after a long wait had to call a different waiter over to take our order. Appetizers came at a reasonable time, but we waited 15 minutes for dinner. My dinner, the special risotto, came cold, several minutes after the other 3 dinners were served, but after waiting so long, I ate it anyway. It was very disappointing. The other 3 dinners were served warm.
I was staying at a nearby hotel and had a hankering for pasta, so decided to give this place a try since the reviews were really good. While I was eating the mediocre Caesar salad (chopped lettuce on top of what looked to be prices of soggy slices of cooked pizza dough, no anchovies to balance the lemon juice), the pasta was delivered to me a full 5 minutes before I was done with my salad, so it stood getting cold while I finished the salad. The pasta was just OK, no better than the stuff I cook at home with sauce from a jar. The glass of wine I ordered was overpriced in my opinion. The restaurant is OK, but not good value, and definitely not 4 stars...my meal for one person - salad, pasta, and one glass of wine - was over $60 with tip and tax.
The place was busy, middle of the dinner rush. Service was quick and responsive . Seated in the patio, a little cool and asked for the propane heater to be turned on, and was quickly warmer. Drinks were nice. I ordered the Veal piccata , this time it was a little tough, plate came to the table blazeing hot and probilly the cause, over cooked. Last time ordered it was wondetful, fork tender . The misses loved her dish. I plan on returning !
Although we had made a reservation and specifically indicated we were celebrating a birthday, and the reservation had been confirmed earlier in the day....we were offered no birthday dessert while other tables around certainly were. It was extremely embarrassing. The food service was not as up to par as it usually is.....a very disappointing evening as I think the food is usually outstanding and well priced.
The food was amazing! It was our first time there and the food didn't disappoint! Now the service on the other hand... We had a reservation and they sat us all the way in the back next to the bathroom and the wall where the kitchen was. From my seat I could watch the guy make salads. So that made me unhappy with the experience. The prices where defiantly reasonable for the quality and quantity.
A very nice and fun place to eat some unsophisticated Italian trattoria food .
The service is prompt and polite, the shaken drinks are well prepared, the pasta seems home made, generous and tasty, the dessert are traditional and expected, nothing wrong with this place. It is loud and kids misbehave around, but it is not the Ritz and we's American, so I guess it is normal.
This place was wonderful! Intimate setting, fresh made to order food, first class service, and a large beautiful outdoor patio are why you should have special date nights or special occasions here! Our server didn't just tell us about certain menu items but showed us pictures of the specials and desserts on his tablet. We could see a good portion of the kitchen and also see that all food generally went from the pan to the window to the table in a minute or less. Our food arrived piping hot and prepared and presented beautifully!
