They really have it down for serving outside. I highly recommend eating here during this hard time. Plenty of seating without feeling like you are on top of your neighbors.
I liked how organized they were with the pandemic we’re in. Would recommend and definitely go again!!
Apps were solid, drinks were great but entrees left something to be desired. Not sure if it was an off day or we just ordered the wrong items.
Food was very good and Aperol Spritz was Excellent! The outdoor seating was comfortable on not on the sidewalk, which was nice.
Food was great, drinks were yummy, service was super friendly. One server didn’t wear her mask over her nose, though.
Love it here
Outdoor seating was placed along the sidewalk for about 2 storefronts down street on both side of restaurant some even being in front of residential housing. I felt like the breaded shrimp was a let down it reminder me of breaded shrimp you purchase from market that comes frozen in a box, my hand cut fries were cut in bites and pieces. Well my date enjoyed his food alot better said the baked chicken breast had very good flavoring and the asparagus was cooked perfectly.
Everything was delicious
Most tender octopus I've ever had
Food and service were great! We will definatly be back soon.
Had a wonderful experience . Would highly recommend ! The calamari was awesome.
Great organic, fresh foods with a modern delicious twist. My new favorite Friday date night spot with my boyfriend.
The food and service were excellent. Our party enjoyed the tuna spring rolls, oysters and salmon entrees. Everything was great.
Terrible service our waiter Vern had been rude to more than one table. Not to mention the 20min wait to order a drink then another 15 to order our food, our reservation was for 830 and wasn't even serviced until 915. For restaurants begging to be open during COVID I would not pick this one, a complete disaster. Upon arrival no one greeted us and when we were finally greeted, the hostess wasn't welcoming. The outside seating was flithy, and tables adjacent to us had been practically waiting to get hit by cars. Every table seated was greeted with the mess from the table before. Needless to say we won't be visiting again.
Everything was great
FARE converted to all outdoor dining very well! Strongly encourage.
The food was very good, I ordered the seafood pasta and was blown away. I would definitely recommend dining here. The only reason why it received a 4 instead of a 5 star review was due to things that the restaurant had no control over such as loud occupants or rude people walking by. Other than that it was excellent.
The service at Fare was great and we had no trouble getting a table.
The crab cakes were absolutely delicious
Really enjoyed the experience. Food was fresh with great flavor profiles . We had the Octopus appetizer and Avocado Crab Cakes with some Flatbreads....All were excellent. Drinks are pretty pricey but nothing that out of the ordinary. We relaxed and didn't worry about it or keep track and we spent $160...I felt like it was worth it.
The walnut cranberry bread was disappointing. Tasted like frozen or big box bread. Bavon slices though cooked correctly were skimpy in appearance.
They sat us by the street on a tiny rinky dink table that was slanted, no shade, the menus and water kept sliding etc. while all the other guests had comfortable seating with an umbrella for shade, away from the street. We asked if we could move away from the street as there were a multitude of other seats available on the patio. I’m assuming a manager came out and ask what we’d like and when we asked again he stated there was no available seats anywhere else and “all other seats were next to the street as well” when this was simply not true. I could understand if they were saving the other tables for larger groups since it was just my gf and myself, but there was a couple seated in the patio area as well. Not even a minute later more people came nd were seated in the back patio where we had requested just moments before. We were the only POC at that time and the way the manager just dismissed our request while seating other people where we just requested didn’t sit right. We ended up leaving right after without ordering. I called the restaurant and spoke with another manager and I asked why they refused to seat us inside the patio and I brought up that we were the only POC there. The manager began to say that it was impossible to seat everyone where they’d like since they were expecting more people to come. Keep in mind there were about 7-10 free tables inside the patio area. The manager also said that he just seated someone in the same area we were sitting and said he could not deal with this now and hung up. We drove past the restaurant and saw the host seating a white couple at the exact seating we requested not even 5 min prior and lo and behold, the person they seated in the area they sat us was a POC. This was a very odd and abrasive visit as they did not try to ease the situation at all when they had plenty of spots open. They immediately met our requests defensively. We would suggest not eating here if you are against discrimination of any type.
They were ready for us as soon as we got there and had a nice table on the patio out of the hot sun. Everyone was careful about distancing and wearing appropriate PPE. Food was great, happy hour drinks were delicious.
Food and location are amazing. Decor, seating, and plating are also very nice. Prices are a bit high even for the area. Dinner for 2 each having one cocktail came to 85 dollars. I would go back for the food but might skip the over priced drinks.
Disappointng experience! I like Fare's business model about sustainablity, using local ingredients, humanely-raised meat, being LEED certified, etc. But the food is simply average (I have been there numerous times). On our last experience, our waiter looked like he had no desire to be there. A "supportive" waitress had the same attitude. Last but not least, for a restaurant whose value proposition is based on green & sustainability, serving plastic straws sends a very wrong message.
Great drinks. Nice to have an outdoor space that’s not just on the sidewalk.
Great food for a special day, worth it!
Vernon was the best.
Food was fine, nothing to write home about, but the patio is wonderful on a nice summer evening. Happy hour menu is good, full dinner was a little over-priced for the quality IMO.
Fare is consistently good. Never a bad meal. Staff is friendly.
Seafood pasta and avocado crab cakes are to die for 😍
This is the third time I’ve attempted to try eating at Fare. First time, we were seated outside and a server never came back to our table for 30 minutes so we left. Second we tried take out order and we just kept getting voicemail and a full inbox. This time it was initially good. The man checking on our table was kind and kept us up to date and apologized for our wait. But our server was rude off the bat. Perhaps he had a bad day or was tired but the whole meal it just seemed like we did something to bother him. Which isn’t exactly what we were looking for a nice night out. The food options were okay and it is convenient and beautiful location as we live down the street! But under these circumstance I probably won’t try again.
Fare never disappoints. Food is yummy, staff is nice, in and outdoor seating very appealing. Great neighborhood place for good food and good time. Don' t miss it!
Quality food and staff that are following all safety precautions!
It was like a regular day out! Fantastic restaurant, great food and service.
The first place I went as they lifted Covid restrictions !
Very good food and service!
Our waitress was awesome and the food was delicious.
Great service (our waiter was amazing,) great ambiance, very good drinks and appetizers but the main entrees were a big let down. Also the additional safety measures were very well implemented. Very happy to see Fare back open.
was great for post covid outdoors eating, but no points for some reason
have some drinks - very good!
eggs benedict with salmon, excellent!!!
Dining during a pandemic. Food was great. We both enjoyed our meals. Sat at a table outside. Not the best setup, chairs were flimsy but it worked. We both were looking forward to actually having a meal outside. Didn’t wait long. Drinks were good. Only issue was towards the end they seemed like they wanted everyone out quickly. I would dine here again. I chalk up the quirks to the Corona.....
It was chaotic. Had to chase down an employee to check in. People standing next to each other, only saw one server, no one answered phone when I called twice...needless to say, we left. We didn’t want poor service. We understand it was the first day of reopening, but there was no system, no display of hospitality, and complete chaos.
