A favorite among Fandango regulars is the succulent Rack of Lamb; other menu items include Fresh Seafood, a variety of pastas, delicious and exotic Mediterranean dishes such as paella and Couscous, and a tempting selection of excellent steaks. Several daily specialties are also available.

Fandango Ratings and Reviews
we always try to get to fandango's at least 2-4 times a year when we are in the area. this time we were joined by another couple to celebrate valentine's day. although they were SUPER BUSY, we had a wonderful meal,, we were not rushed, and a it was a fairly cozy dinner. can't wait for the next dinner.
We reserved a table for Valentines Day. We were crowded into a small space, had to raise our hand to get bread, they forgot to bring our salads, after a long wait, brought my salmon out raw, had to be returned to kitchen, then waiter brought us a dessert of his choice to make up for the bad service. Will really have to have no where else to go before we decide to go back!
Valentine’s Day early 5pm dinner and had reservations. Once seated, had to wait over an hour for our entrees while others seated after us ate and finished their dinners.
We had to get our own water refills from the bussing station as no one came to the table to offer us any. When our entrees finally came, the food though beautifully prepared, was cold but we were starving and didn’t want to send it back and wait even longer to eat. The bread rolls were served cold and did not seem fresh. A pitiful offering of one dessert they seemed to want to get rid of was offered in exchange for our inconvenience. We are locals and have eaten here many times over the years. This was the worst service we’ve ever experienced. We will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone and won’t be back.
Fantastic as usual! One of only a few places now serving Grand Marnier Souffle every night. Osso buco is 'over the top'. Caesar salad is mild re anchovies but delicious. Drinks are generous! Owners present and always friendly and hospitable. Chef roams to greet guests. Just a fabulous atmosphere. (Been going there since 1983).
We had not been to Fandango's for several years, but had an opportunity to go for Sunday brunch, which was excellent. From the extensive menu, we selected Fandango steak Benedict and the cheese blintz, which we shared.. The staff was happy to let us split the Benedict first, and then brought us the blintz as dessert. The place is quaint and cozy, the wait staff was attentive, and we loved our meal. The only drawbacks----there was a very loud woman in the same room we were in who was distracting-----not sure what the waitpeople could have done about it. And somehow our credit card was charged with someone else's meal three times what ours cost----but the waiter corrected it. We look forward to returning!
Our dinner was wonderful. We had scallops, paella, and steak frites--Each was delicious. Our salads were wonderful--beautiful red tomatoes in a caprese salad in February. The service was, warm, friendly, perfect really, even the chef came out from the kitchen to talk with us.. the desserts, especially the grand marnier soufflé, were heavenly. It was a magical evening.
Great Dinner. The food was very good. Our only comment would be on the abalone. It is very heavily breaded and then fried so it was difficult to tell if we were even eating abalone. For the $$$ we were hoping for more flavor. Other than that the food and service were very good. It is a very loud place, so if you are dining with 60 somethings like we were, tell them to turn up their hearing aids.
First of all, kudos to the host and the server. We had a very nice table in a private room. The restaurant is beautiful and gives everyone a sense of privacy. It has a nice European flair to it. The meal itself was very good and our server was quite solicitous, coming in often to check on us and see if we needed anything. I had the surf and turf. The steak was overdone, but other than that the dinner was well presented and delicious. My husband had the scallops over pasta, which he enjoyed. Lots of fresh vegetables accompanied our meal. We had coffee (delicious) and desert afterwards. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely go back.
Fandango is one of my favorite restaurants for special occasions. However this time I was highly disappointed as overall the food came out lukewarm to almost cold. Will I come back again, yes will give it one more chance. Then will have to find a new favorite if disappointed again.
First time patrons at Fandango, but we will be back. Service was outstanding, even providing a glass of wine, after I spilled a half full glass, at no extra charge. The food was delicious. We had the rack of lamb and the filet/lobster. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Fandango is a great French/Mediterranean restaurant with delicious food and cozy European ambience. There are many small rooms so wherever you are seated you are in an intimate setting. The paella is always a good choice and the 7oz filet mignon in cognac sauce melts in your mouth. And for dessert you can’t go wrong with the Grand Mariner soufflé!
Always a favorite spot when visiting the Monterey/Pacific Grove area. There are a number of small dining rooms in addition to the main area - if you get a chance to stop in ahead of time, you might want to request a certain location when making your reservation. Our waiter this time was Paul who is from Oaxaca, and he was both professional and friendly. It was a fairly quiet evening in our dining area, so we were able to have a nice conversation with him. We hope he will be there next time.
Our meal was an absolute delight. We had sand dabs as an appetizer and they were excellent, so flavorful. My husband had lamb and I had the surf and turf, two lobster tails and a filet mignon. It was to die for. Every bite was so full of delicious flavor. The service was excellent. And the ambiance was wonderful. We were seated in a small room with two other tables, so the noise level was low and conversation was easy. We would not hesitate to go back.
