Fairbanks Steakhouse @ Hollywood Casino - Aurora Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit, and we were very happy with the service and the food quality. The portions are quite large, however. So next time, we will see if we can split an entree. This is an ala carte menu, so if you don't order a side, you will not get one.
This was our 1st visit to Fairbanks Steakhouse. We dined there because it is close to the Paramount Theater and very convenient for dinner before a show. We would dine there again before our next show. Prices were on the high side for the menu selections, but the food was very good. There may be an option to reduce the cost if you have a Players Card with the casino. We did not.
Fairbanks restaurant is never a disappointment. The food is consistently fresh and the service as professional and friendly as you would find at any fine food restaurant. The crab legs are outstanding, so are the steaks. Actually I've been here many times and never had a an unpleasant dining experience.
We went to Fairbanks for our 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner. Thought it would be something special. Our food was good (although somewhat overpriced). However, they knew it was a very special dinner for us and they offered absolutely nothing,,,not even a cookie! Waitress wasn’t even aware it was our 50th. The hostess did say happy anniversary....that was it. Probably will never go there again.
My lovely Girlfriend and I went to Fairbanks on 04/29/17 for our anniversary, then gambling and then to see the Beatles band American English.
I made reservations almost 2 weeks in advance. We were promptly seated, however is was in the main isle to the kitchen, not appropriate. The server was pushy, we felt like we were on an assembly line. The drinks were terrible, my dirty Martini was half full and not very good. The busmen were hoovering around trying to pick up plates you were still eating off of.
The food was very good, very hot and professionally prepared.
The overall experience was just ok, I would rather spend my 150.00 somewhere else.
This was the second time we went to Fairbanks before a play at the Paramount and both times the food and the service was excellent. Decent value for a nice steakhouse and good cuts of meat. Also, the servers are aware of what time the shows start and get you out of there in plenty of time to walk the short block to the theater.
We arrived just at opening. While things seemed a little confused we were seated promptly and our hostess took our drink orders. We both ordered the T-bone and salads. The drinks arrived and were well made with a proper amount of liqueur. We were served a large portion of sliced bread which while impressive to the eye was quite bland to the palate. The salads were both generous and flavorful. The steaks were a very high quality cut, very flavorful (We had requested maitre d' butter.) and well prepared. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive.
Our table was reserved through Open Table which started the night off right. Our dinner was Filet's and they were done to perfection. It was a great start to the evening followed with a little bit of casino adventure and then onto our show at the Paramount. When we stay in town again we will have date night again with the start of the night at Fairbanks Steak House. Thank you
Everything was perfect. Our table was ready, no waiting. The waitstaff was very attentive. Our waiter, Scott, knew absolutely everything we wanted to know about the various courses/entrees. Along with a great sense of humor, he was very vigilant of our needs. We never had to summon him for anything as he guided us through a wonderful dining experience.
It's unfortunate that Fairbanks is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Celebrating 39th wedding anniversary and one of the other couple just celebrated a birthday. Not even a scoop of ice cream was offered. Food was average. Wait staff was attentive. Our table was near the kitchen door. Lots of other nicer locations. I would not go back.
Their T-bone and petit lauren specials are great buys. T-bone included salad, T-bone and potato. Petit lauren had three filet medallions and risotto. Mashed potatos my favorite. Creamy w lots of butter. Rest of menu a la carte. Service is always prompt and friendly. Nice place for a special occasion.
