fadó Irish Pub & Restaurant - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
It was a busy Friday with one large party just starting and another happening in an hour, but the quality of the service and food was as good as if we were the only people at Fado.
Not the cheapest place, but for an evening out that you'll enjoy you can always count on Fado.
I brought a few guests from out of town to Fado, since my guests were avid craft beer drinkers. Was pretty disappointed to learn that 4 of the 7 draft beers were not available, on a Friday night.
Also the table service was very slow, almost 20 minutes went by before our drink order was taken, after we were seated.
We won't be back.
Gathered here to watch a football game with a group of college pals. Fado could not have been more accommodating. When more people showed up than we had a reservation for, no problem. Separate checks for 12? No problem. The food was very good. Atmosphere, superb. I always forget how much fun this place is.
We had made a reservation for a group of ten, but the table that was shown to us seemed to be too small. The staff was very flexibel and helpful to rearrange some tables in another area to ensure that our group had enough space. Service was great, always checking in if we had still food and drinks. Have been to Fado's mnay times and always enjoyed it.
Went for brunch with a large group. Enjoyed the $15 bottomless mimosas and the different brunch options. The mimosas were a great deal for the money (I've found other places that offer motionless mimosas are usually mostly orange juice) and the food was great! Fun, cheap, and great service.
Fado is one of my favorite spots to go to for after work events or for having a party. I went for their brunch this weekend and was a little disappointed in the food and drinks. Totally my fault for forgetting they don't serve alcohol until 12:30 on Sundays. That's fine. We ordered orange juice and it tasted like it came from a gas station with a twist top. I tried to order the cheese puffs but now apparently they only do that for "catering". So if you go to brunch, expect a limited menu. The frittata I ordered was just ok. No real taste to it. If you're looking for top food, try another place. Again, Fado has been a favorite spot of mine for years. I won't be going back for the brunch but I'll definitely continue to go for the night life. The service was really good though. I think my server was new and didn't know a lot about the menu but can't fault them for that. At least they're learning.
Would still recommend either way. Hey! They have unlimited mimosas!
Service is very bad. Couldn't get refills the entire brunch. The food took forever. The food was very good, except the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dry and they are extremely stingy on the gravy.
Good brunch options, but need to improve on service and the biscuits and gravy.
We went to this Pub for Father's Day brunch. The atmosphere was wonderful with a true pub decir and ambience. We were seated promptly at 10:45 as per our reservation. Much to our disappointment we were told that there was no alcohol sold before 12 noon. As we had chosen this location for their bottomless mimosas primarily this was quite a let down. Still, the food was good and there was soccer on TV so it was not a total loss. To add insult to injury, as we were leaving the bartender began loading up a dispenser of mimosas right out in front of the house. Be forewarned, brunch doesn't really start here until noon.
Food was good, nothing exceptional or worth going back for but it was pretty inexpensive. Service was a little slow to start but good throughout the meal. Food came out fast but the restaurant was pretty dead. Good place for some beers and sports, but nothing exceptional
At the last minute on Mothers Day, we needed 20 people seated and Open Table would only take 10.... but there were two tables available for 10 open at the same time. So my wife made one reservation for 10 and I made another for 10... both accepted. The Hostess gave me a hard time about it and acted like she was put out and di want us - even though the place was virtually empty. Honestly, I would fire someone who treated people they way she treated us. That turned me off; but the staff rebounded and got us a great table in the back which could accommodate our entire party.... and we ended up having a good time. Food was just ok (but what I expected) and a good value....
Wait staff was great and very patient with our large unwieldy party which included loud children and adults.
I met up with some old friends at Fado got Brunch/Lunch on Sunday. Even though the soccer match was on, we decided to stay and sit on the rooftop. It was great! Terry took really great care of us, and we had a great time. All of the staff were super friendly. Good food, wonderful service and atmosphere!
Overall a very good experience! From the atmosphere, to the drink menu to the food it's definitely a legit pub. My pint of Guinness was poured to perfection! Highly recommend getting a side of Guinness Mayo to dip your chips in as well (each serving of the sauce will cost .75 I came to find out on the check). The girlfriend and I split the Fish & Chips along with a Shepard's Pie and both were excellent. The service was good...not great, not awful, but definitely satisfying. It can get somewhat noisy in there, but hey...it's an Irish Pub! Definitely would go back =)
We live two blocks from the Fadó in midtown and it is fabulous and always a great time. We tried the buckhead location for Father's Day and were severely disappointed. We went here because they were advertising "hops for pops" a free beer flight for fathers, but were informed that they were not going to be doing that. We had a reservation for a party of 7, but the restaurant was not busy at all so we didn't really need it. Our waitress was honestly abysmal from the beginning. Took forever to bring us water, then got our appetizer order and 20 minutes passed before we had to ask her if we could order beers, then another waitress came over to ask what other beer we wanted, but we had not yet been informed that they were out of our beer. On our 4th attempt, we finally found a beer they were not out of. I understand it was a busy sports week, but the fact that the waitresses did not know that the beers we wanted were out of stock was sad. After this episode it seemed as though the waitress gave up on us. We placed our food order and it was delivered by the food runners, and then we did not get a "2 minute check" until about 20 minutes after we received our food and we were already done or needing to go boxes. Don't get me wrong the food is incredible here, but the service is not. A medium sized party of mostly parents is normally what waitresses dream of, but she acted as though she wanted nothing to do with us.
